GAMES dawnlotus September 20 2010, 09:24:59 UTC
Catching fish game, dipping the rice paper in the water to try and scoop the fish out. You must have steady hands. If you succeed, get a prize! Or perhaps you'd prefer to shoot at the targes with elastic bands? There's a clever technique to this. Or maybe, you'd like to play a game of luck? How about some gambling, is the dice showing an odd number or an even nunmber?

There is a small child, looking freshly scrubbed and wearing a yukata. He is watching the game stalls with the disgruntled expression of someone who would rather be finishing his mystery novel than be made to come outside and have fun.

She watched from the shadows, such place to hold festivities of any sort. Still, it made Celty feel a little more relaxed. Cities shouldn't be so silent.

The Black Rider didn't know if she was expected to come dressed up, but she wasn't very familiar with Vietnamese nor Chinese customs enough to conjure up something from shadows to take place of her bodysuit. Then again, it would also be a little difficult to hide the fact that she lacked a head, had she taken that route. The usual would have to do for now.

She drifted towards the game booths, noticing some that looked like what she'd seen in Japan. It wasn't nearly as crowded, but that such effort had been put into all of this pleased her. Perhaps she'd try her hand at catching a fish?

At the very least she wasn't alone in the area. Celty glanced towards the boy, taking a moment before she recognized who it was. He really is very small...

Conan felt the weight of being watched and glanced up. He blinked as he recognized Celty -- the helment, even now? -- but waved in greeting, putting on a happy smile. "Celty-san!"

He didn't wait to be greeted in return to approach her. "Going to try some of the games?"

LION DANCING dawnlotus September 20 2010, 09:25:34 UTC
There seems to be someone dancing with flames dressed like a lion...are those stripes? Could it be a fabled liger? Damn it Yukimura. If you give the Liger money, you will be granted good luck, so the sign above him says. No money? Give him food or a kiss.

Others are welcomed to give it a shot with flaming fans [or if you're afraid of fire, then you can have fans that aren't on fire]. Give it a try and create some good luck for yourself.

Lion dancing in a Mid Autumn Festival was more of a Vietnamese tradition, as the Chinese will make it more elaborate with a fire dragon dance. This fusion pleased her, a bit of her culture for her to watch, however, at the same time, she missed home a lot more. How were her people? The world was a mess when she taken, and though her home was fine, it didn't mean she should stop worrying. However, today was not a day to worry, it was a day to enjoy the fullest moon in the sky. And to remember, indulging, a little, in making herself a new dark blue áo dài and keeping her ponytail loose in a floral hair clamp.

Vietnam took a walk around the fires before putting down her food offerings (she wasn't actually sure what to give the Yukimura liger, since they don't have money and lettuce was boring), taking up one of the unlit fans, and then tossed it into the air before catching it again.

MOONCAKE STALL dawnlotus September 20 2010, 09:25:51 UTC
Along the tables are all sorts of mooncakes with various fillings to your hearts content. Red tin cans sit on the table. Feel like confessing your like for someone? Just want to send random messages? Send them a mooncake in the can.

LANTERNS dawnlotus September 20 2010, 09:26:09 UTC
Set lanterns free. It's said that they bring messages to relatives in heaven. Make a wish and send your wish to the stars. Or you can give it a go and make your own!

It was splendid to see everyone come together. So much that Lenalee had slipped away to come to the lanterns.

Carefully, she held on in her hands, making sure the sleeves of her Purple Hanfu weren't in the way as she glanced up to the skies and released the paper to the air while she silently made a wish for herself and others.

"I wish we can all remain happy...I wish everyone will be safe while they stay here...I wish I could remember who Loz is, too...Please." Lenalee whispered before she smiled to herself as the sleeves rolled back down over her hands and while she felt a little ridiculous in her outfit, she felt right at home for the first time in a long time as she looked up at the floating lantern caught on the wind.

"I was right. The hanfu does look really neat."

Conan had been looking out for Lenalee, intending to comment on her hard work. It had taken him a moment to recognise her -- the hanfu was so bright compared to her usual uniform.

He followed her gaze up to the lantern. "Making a wish?" he guessed.

She did feel kind of silly in the brightly coloured attire. She was much more used to black and darker colours...but the fabric at least felt nice against her, light and fluttery in a light breeze.

Glancing over, Lenalee saw Conan and offered a small smile and nod. "Yes, a wish." She said quietly as she pushed some of her hair from her face. It was no longer in her normal pigtails, but down, long, and in ribbons along her shoulders with occasional strands tucked back and held in place by decorative lily hair ornaments.

"I hope you're having fun Conan?"

"Here!" She said happily as she scooted over to him behind the stall and held up a package wrapped up. "I made it for you to help with this."

Inside, a bandanna and apron, matching in colour, lay nicely folded for him. On the apron though, she sewed a bit of a flower from her own National design. "Your name is on the pocket. You don't have to continue wearing it, but I thought you might like it instead of getting food on your clothing." The Nation said with a happy tilt of her head.

Going around behind him, Hungary gently tied the strands of the apron in a bow behind him, nice and secure. "My pleasure." She said with a smile on her lips.

"With all that hair too, you should really get a trim. No one can see that handsome face of yours." She said as she came back around and rolled up her sleeves, getting prepared with optimism for a rush of people who might be hungry [hur] for food.
