France, Scotland, and Aqua's Place maple_happiness January 18 2012, 22:51:38 UTC
They finally get there, and Canada thinks it was probably good that Scotland met him. He doesn't think he'd have gotten lost, but in an unfamiliar place it was definitely possible.

"So, do you just pick a place and move in? Since it's a deserted town except for the people who are brought here?" He's thinking that he'll need a place to live himself, since he could be here for a long time, so finding out how to go about that is a good idea.

"Aye, everythin's free here thankfulleh. Jess look aroon' fer sommat ye wont an ye'll eventualeh feind et." he led his 'son' upstairs with him. He was sure Francis was home and eager to tackle the boy in a large hug.

Canada nods, following Barclay upstairs. "Well, that's one plus," he points out. "Even if it is kind of a weird place - I heard a lot of strange things over that communicator."

He's looking forward to seeing his Papa; hopefully he's home.

Oh. Oh, he's home.

He spoke to Matthew on the communicator, and he missed you dearly, he's not missing this for anything. And as soon as the door opened to reveal two of his most favorite people, he grinned and set Alice the white Scottish Terrier puppy down and jumped up off the couch and wrapped his arms tight around his oldest boy.

"Oh, my Mathieu, I missed you so much~!"

England's Shop maple_happiness January 18 2012, 22:53:59 UTC
Canada knocks at the door to the shop, waiting for Arthur to answer. "Think I should ask him about the catacomb thing John mentioned, Kumanicki?" he asks the bear at his heels.

Kumajiro looks up at him. "He might turn red and yell."

"True. Well, we'll see what happens."

There was the noise of moving, England coming down the stairs at the sound of the door knocking. He opened the door, revealing a rather nice setup inside, chairs and tea sets set about, a fresh decoration of paint. At first, his look was one of confusion, staring blankly at the Canadian, keeping the door only opened by a crack, as if unsure what the other was doing there. But, after a minute of recovery...

... "... oh! MAtthew, yes, of course, come in..." Embarrassed, he finally moved aside, inviting the other in.

Canada notices the brief confusion and inwardly shakes his head. "Hi, Arthur," he says as he comes inside. He doesn't take it personally; he knows the Brit doesn't mean to do it, and his reaction time's getting better so he won't complain.

"So, you're running this place with France," he says. Out of old habit from his early days with England, he generally refers to France more formally in front of Arthur. "How's that working out?"

He just can't see it, it's such an odd image.

"I am indeed. It's been an interesting experience, but..." he sighs, closing the door after the other, then turning to face him. "The shop was France's idea in the first place, quite awhile ago. I'd rather ignored it, but he persisted that it would be good for me. The whole project has been delayed quite a few times, but..." A sigh, a shrug. "We'll be opening it soon. I'll be in charge of the tea, France is cooking the sweets, the savories, the sandwiches... it's... the best decision, if I'm wanting anyone to damn well EAT here..."

Such a good boy. Summing everything up, England waved towards the tables. "This of course means we won't have anything to eat with the actual tea, other than some things I made for myself, but regardless - take a seat. What kind of tea did you want?"

Visiting Prussia maple_happiness January 18 2012, 22:56:00 UTC
It's a good thing, really, that he always carries maple syrup with him when he goes somewhere - it's not his fault that most places have substandard syrup! - and that he'd only just come back when he fell asleep and woke on the train, too tired to take his jacket with the special syrup pocket off.

He's not sure how he's going to get ahold of more here - something to figure out as soon as possible. He knocks on the door, hoping Prussia answers; he doesn't really talk to Germany much, after all.

Canada, you just made his birthday with that maple syrup. That's totally awesome of you. Know that he will make sure to give you something that's equally awesome. Don't mind him opening the door in a rush. And that birthday crown on his head. And no, a simple birthday hat isn't awesome enough for him. "Hey Mattie, you got a great timing!"

Canada raises an eyebrow at the crown, and Kumajiro actually shakes his head. "I do?" Canada asks, a little puzzled. He doesn't know if the calendar's the same here as it was at home - it was only a couple days after New Year's when he left. It might be a bit different here.

"Yeah!" Gilbird chirps from his spot on his head and he grins at the blond. Prepare to get dragged inside Canada, Kumajiro as well. "It's the best day ever!" Now admire the awesome decorated house of his and he did it all himself. The party decoration and that banner that says 'Happy Awesome Birthday Gilbert!'.

America's Apartment maple_happiness January 19 2012, 03:32:41 UTC
England gave him directions, so Canada's next stop was America's place. He walked up to the door, Kumajiro at his heels as always, and knocked.

England had said America was working on something or other, but Canada figured he wouldn't mind the interruption.

America lives in a blue-shuttered, first floor apartment that looks out towards the park.

At the sound of the knock, America pauses mid hammer stroke and straightens. He's fixing up a game table for his classy blue living room. (Guess what other two colors the bedrooms are.)

He swings the door open as he answers, staring blankly for a moment as he looks at his own reflection. Then... grin. "...Mattie? That you?"

Canada grins back, nodding. "Hi, Al," he says with a little wave. "England gave me directions to your place, hope that's all right."

Behind his brother he can see blue walls - somehow, he has the feeling other rooms are painted red and white.

"Yeah, it's no problem." America grins and backs inside, waving his brother in. He kicks the door shut, sauntering back into his living room. He has made the place nice: a long sofa, several posters on the walls (scavenged from houses of those that have left), a counter with stools separating the room from a kitchenette to the right, a half fixed-up game table and minibar.

"Man, it's been awhile. When did you get back? You've been to see the old man already?"
