it could break you. but it could be okay. i dunno, i've ended up in that situation a couple of times, and it's never *completely* backfired for me to tell someone.

i do, however, have to admit that usually the telling is literally dragged from clenched jaws. it always seems like it's going to be a terrible idea until it's done and there are fewer and less messy consequences than i thought there would be.
