This was really good, and i wonder what would the writers of Merlin think if they read it now, once they've filmed the finale for the show, they should have used your idea, every spoiler we've seen or read clicked in your story and the ending, at first i didn't think it could happen, but i suppose it's the way Arthur would react towards Merlin, even after knowing that he saved his life.

Have you thought on writing a fic on Merlin out of Camelot and how or if he gets back??

Ha, funny you should say that, but by the time I'd finished this the sequel was fully-formed in my head! I'm probably gonna start writing it tomorrow.... I'm a slave to the plot-bunnies.

Good!! I really want to know whether Merlin would be accepted again in Camelot or not, but i guess many of his friends (like Gwen or Gwaine) would have something to say about that

Oh man - I really hope you're behind your computer writing a sequel to this because I read that waaaaaaaaay too fast. I loved your pacing, the characters were spot on and you found this cool balance between comedy, romance & action which is making me think you're secretly a writer for the show. Or you know, should be one very very soon. This was epic. Absolutely loved the knighting scene, Merlin's angsty confession and of course all the Gwen/Arthur interactions. You must write a sequel, this was just too good! :)

Wow. I mean - just wow, thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked it and thank you so much for the insightful feedback! I agree with everything you say about the show, especially Merlin and Arthur. I don't think the show would ever split the two of them up (physically, at least) for more than an episode or so, since their relationship is the lynch-pin of the entire series, but I agree that it would be really interesting to see. They say that there will be big changes for next season - I really hope that Arthur finding out about Merlin is one of them, as I want the writers to leave themselves enough time to actually explore the changes that would bring to their relationship dynamic, and I worry they won't. I do think Morgana will end up going rogue (how could she not) and I think that she, at least, has to know about Merlin before she leaves... I'm so excited for the end of the season
