So, I followed a link of cofax7 to a post by sara about the OTW elections and then to the comments where it was reflected that when fandom friends are feeling low, one sends porn, but this left a problem with Real Life friends. Oooh, I love the idea of the cheetah line passing on to guard Caspian. And what a great portrayal of Caspian, too - is this the first time you've written him?

Also, I /may/ have read the line about Peter dressed in leathers just as the conversation on red leather pants is going on in the other window. *snort* *giggle*

I am so happy you'll get Eustace in those crimson leather trousers. This is what fic and Twitter are for. Pander. Yes, you must pander to us. Also, I want to know what the mongoose thinks of them.

And... I had a very, very short scene in TSG Part 1 that was book PC. This is the first time I've ever written Caspian otherwise, yep. SCARY. Thanks so much!

Oh, just watch - the way I've set it up, the red leather trousers are going to end up being a running joke from here on, I think.

And now that you mention it, I do remember the brief PC scene. But considering how much of your work is focused on Spare Oom and the Golden Age, it's neat to see a glimpse of PC times again. And oooh Caspian, so much to learn.

I'm having a hard time imagining the red leather trousers in TSG but.... as flashback, definitely. It's the fashion -- leather trews dyed to the color of your country or something. Very fashionable. Very snug fitting.

Oh this was so, so lovely. I miss reading about the Guard and the things going on in Narnia since we've seen so many more tales on the Spare Oom side lately. And how wonderful to see a bit of the Guards in PC -- I had been wondering if you'd ever write/show any of it.

(And yes, I'm still alive though I've been busy with a lot of non-Narnia stuff these days. I should probably post a "I'm still here" message at some point.)

It is lovely to hear from you! Yeah, the Guard from PC is one of those things always sort of in the background. I even wrote a few paragraphs of it once, somewhere. I could never decide on book vs film.

I think that Caspian wanting Peter to stay and be his King is my new personal head-canon. And the fact that Peter can recognize Fooh's line by merely touching Sira is so sweet, and so sad.

Thanks so much! It means so much to me when I know you've read and liked something!!! I think the film kept in Caspian's line to Aslan about how he does not feel ready. I just can't see him easily sliding into that role after he's been hanging around with the Four and the Telmarines think he is a traitor and the Narnians think he is a butcher. And I love writing the Guard.
