Yep, and the really sad part is, I recognise nearly all of them! I think the only major period one missing is Ciaran Hinds from the 1995 Persuasion. And genre style, there are no Trekkers, but then, I'm not sure that any of them quite fit. Klingons, anyone?
There were some very good memories associated with watching that second video, crammed in a hotel room with 20 other women, drinking tea and coffee of all things (it was our PJ breakfast), with all the action figure dolls dressed up and watching that video on a continuous loop. There's something to be said for being among friends and shouting Robe Drop! In any event, my friend has decided that she probably needs to update it, at least for the inclusion of the other Captain Jack (Harkness), Doctors 9 & 10, new Trek, and some others. Yes, I could ask, and yes she would probably include Narnia clips, but I might hope that my good friend the Minister does that instead. The Minister has quite the varied foci, which is very comforting to know that wherever my foci might take me, the Minister was already there, long before me, perfecting the art of being a wanton since 1980.
I enjoyed the Period visual a lot more than the Genre one. I think perhaps because my head has been stuck in Jane Austen recently -- "Persuasion" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" were my most recent reads. Ahh.. to me, Captain Wentworth is more my ideal than Mr. Darcy.
I'm not sure how exactly I visualize Jalur when I read the stories. A big cat, most certainly, but not sure if I can see orange and stripes in my head. I think sometimes I do see him as those pictures, and other times, I don't.
I have seen the trailer and the book is on my list to read! It's amazing how adding monsters and zombies to such classics can make one have a new appreciation for the books.
(Wingedflight, who is still signed out) I very, very much enjoyed that, and was quite pleased to find that I recognized quite a few of the movies from the first video - two of which I actually watched just this week (BBC's Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility). And I have P&P&Z on my too-read list!
