It's funny, isn't it...if JKR had given them an actual death scene, and showed people Nineteen Years Later thinking about them fondly or with regret, there would've been more closure and probably less anger for us fans -- but then, also less wiggle room for fanfic. (Thanks for reading!)

Oooh, so interesting. I do like these ones that find ways around the...the implied ending, lol. And I have to say I adore the idea of Neville being good with babies. Of course Hermione would try to look up what to do for a crying baby, lol. Looking forward to more!

implied ending *snort* Yeah, exactly. And if I'm ever going to write my post-war AU werewolf-rights fic, I have to prepare myself a canon loophole, right? ;)

The Neville and Hermione scene was fun to write. I figure, Neville seems to get people, so maybe that extends to very small people too. Thanks for the kind words -- more will hopefully be coming soon!

Absolutely you need a loophole! I'm fast coming to the point where I think the ending is...Riddikulus and we should all just ignore it. Maybe JKR will get the point and release a revised edition. ;)
