"Yes, the best way to go about this is to insult the bartender, not that flattery would have gotten you anywhere."

Hankyung smirked into his glass as he downed the shot, his eyes narrowing in amusement at the scene playing out before him. He glanced up at the bartender with a knowing smile. “One more, please, Sungmin.”

Sungmin crooked a brow at the older man and snatched his glass from his fingers.

“I was nervous!” The man being scolded retorted. “He was looking at me, and handing me a drink, and everything happened so fast that-”

“You insulted the bartender,” the other interrupted, rolling his eyes unpleasantly. “It doesn’t matter what happened before or after the fact that you insulted the bartender; and this one, of all the bartenders in the city!”

When Sungmin handed Hankyung his drink, the man swallowed it in one shot. “How did he insult you?” He asked, straightening out his suit as he stood. “Was he being prude? Disrespectful?”

“It’s nothing big,” Sungmin shrugged, eyes trained on the drink at hand.

Hankyung reached over to ruffle Sungmin’s hair, leaning in to kiss him on the forehead. “If they give you any more trouble, just let me know. I’ll be upstairs. Let me know when you decide to head home, okay?”

All Sungmin did in response was nod, waving Hankyung off as the other man left.

Sungmin’s lack of response brought a frown to Hankyung’s face, causing him to sigh and shake his head, giving the men another weary glance as he turned for the stairs.

“Is he your lover?”

The question caught Sungmin off-guard and he instantly whipped around to face the man now sitting on the other end of the bar counter. “No,” Sungmin denied, walking towards the man, “he’s my older brother.”

“Ah.”

Something about the man’s appearance gave Sungmin an uneasy feeling. Despite his generally passive outlook, he held an edge in his nonchalant attitude that was slightly nerving. The dark suit and his shoulder length black hair only gave him that much more of a mysterious demeanor.

The men sitting around him, dressed in similar fashions, weren’t any more comforting.

“I haven’t seen you here before,” Sungmin smiled, playing off his suspecting attitude easily.

The man grinned back, lifting his cup for a drink. “First time here.”

Sungmin nodded, eyes curved into crescent moons as he maintained a friendly attitude. “To relax?”

“Business,” he said.

And, suddenly, Sungmin’s smile disappeared. “With my brother?”

“Depends,” the man shrugged. “If you would so kindly direct me to his office, I’d be more than happy to tell you if my business has anything to do with his.”

After a short inspecting, eying the man from head to toe once more, Sungmin decided this man could possibly do anything but harm his brother in any way physically possible. “This way, please,” he said, directing a hand towards the stairs.

The man stood from his seat, smoothly and diligently, motioning for his men to stay as they were, and walked past Sungmin towards the stairs.

“It’s on the third floor, last room on your right, sir.”

“Thank you,” the man said. “Ah, for future reference, just call me Heechul.”

Sungmin raised a brow.

“I have a feeling that we’ll be meeting more often from now on,” Heechul said, smiling as he started for the room.

-

“Sixty thousand.”

Hankyung laughed, leaning back in his seat as he pursed his lips. “I know that you can profit at least a hundred thousand from this shipment.”

“I don’t negotiate,” Heechul replied.

If it were not for his own resolve, and possibly the help of alcohol, Hankyung’s solid position may have wavered from the way Heechul glared into his eyes. It was not terrifying, but it was stern; like pricks and thorns seeping into his skin. “Neither do I.”

Heechul tossed a package full of white capsules onto the desk. “This is a gift,” he smiled cautiously. “Sixty is as high as I’m going for your stock. I’m sure no one else is going to go any higher than I have.”

Hankyung watched as he put on his sunglasses, raising from his seat to leave.

“Consider it.”

“Heechul-ssi,” Hankyung tilted his head to the side. “Do you really think I care about a difference of a couple million dollars?”

There was something ambiguous about the way Hankyung spoke, the underlying meaning in his words. Heechul smirked. “Oh?”

A silent laugh and Hankyung was on his feet, walking to the other side of the table to meet with Heechul at eye level. He picked the package from the table and leaned in towards Heechul, their lips centimeters apart.

He almost hadn’t noticed, but Heechul was holding his own breath.

Up until now, he hadn’t given this man’s face a good look. Now, he was forced to - and he isn’t sure whether or not it was a good propaganda for him.

Warm breaths were hot against Heechul’s cheek, sharp eyes blinking into his with a confident, twisted smile.

Hankyung looked down at the package in his hand and observed it for a moment, then grinned back into Heechul’s steady eyes. “Ecstasy, huh?” Hankyung mused. He tucked the package into Heechul’s chest pocket, patting it gently as he stood back to his full height. “It’s a nice name.”

“What are you getting at?” Heechul asked.

Neither of them have any idea how Heechul is remaining headstrong, position unwavering.

Heechul narrowed his eyes when Hankyung merely shrugged at him. “The sole purpose of this bar is for underground trades like this, isn’t it? If it’s not money that you’re after, then what is it?”

“Money is a factor,” Hankyung nodded, crossing his arms over his chest. “A large factor, I admit. But there are bigger things in life, Heechul-ssi. For instance, my brother’s interests, a place for peaceful gatherings with my friends, late night encounters with strange but beautiful men like now.”

“You-”

Hankyung laughed, amused when Heechul’s cheeks turned light pink, his lips trembling in either anger or embarrassment, or perhaps a mixture of both. “It’s a deal.”

“What?” Heechul gritted his teeth.

“Sixty thousand million for my entire shipment coming in tomorrow,” Hankyung reiterated with ease, “it’s a deal.”

Heechul raised a brow.

“On one condition,” Hankyung added. He leaned forward, pointing at his cheek. “A kiss.”

“Tch,” Heechul scoffed. He weighed his options, calculating the benefits and losses of this single decision he had to make.

Hankyung pursed his lips, waiting patiently.

After taking a quiet breath, he leaned forward. Just before his lips came into contact with Hankyung’s cheek, Hankyung turned and brushed his lips against the other man’s.

Heechul had unknowingly closed his eyes.

“I’ll have it sent directly to you tomorrow, immediately after it lands,” Hankyung beamed.

Despite the huge urge to slap Hankyung across the face, or to pound on his own chest until his heart stopped banging, Heechul kept a straight face. He cleared his throat and walked towards the door, reaching for the knob. “And I’ll have the deposit handed to your messenger.”

“No need,” Hankyung bellowed.

Heechul turned to face him.

The man simply smiled, eyes curved into familiar crescent moons. “You can hand it directly to me.”

Heechul watched as Hankyung lowered into his seat again, awaiting an explanation.

“I’ll be handling this exchange,” Hankyung smiled politely at him, “personally.”

Too bad she's already married.. >.>) Anyhow, My Kingdom was a good movie. Not the greatest, but the best I've seen in a while. ^-^ It helped me see Hankyung as a bad-boy. lol.
