Summary: Yesung is a queer, but not the gay kind. Aside from his common flings with random girls and the tendency to hurt himself - emotionally - he really doesn't have much of a life. Things start going out of order when he meets the new sophomore in the math class he teacher assists in. It seems he's been "living in the moment" for too long, causing him to forget things and people of his past.
Kyuhyun's background isn't as simple as it seems and trouble starts heading his way as soon as he starts getting involved with Yesung. Their mutual attraction is anything but subtle, yet, Yesung can't accept the fact that he's... gay. How can Kyuhyun make Yesung understand that love goes beyond gender before everything becomes too late?
“Hyung, I know there's something you're not telling me,” Kyuhyun said, taking a seat on the far end of Eunhyuk's large chamber. The blinds were open, allowing the grave sunlight to reveal every little thing in the room; the gold lined bed, the spacious dressing room, the old wooden desk and many other assortments.
“I was going to tell you later,” Eunhyuk sighed, sitting up in bed. It was too early for this, he thought to himself. He barely got any sleep the night prior due to his jumbled thoughts, the threat letters he received, and the fact that he continuously reminisced on the past.
Kyuhyun leaned back in the couch, resting his head on the rim of the headrest, “What is this about? Moon Geunyoung - who is associated to the attackers - told me that part of this chaos has to do with you and some escort.”
“They really don't leave anything out, do they?” Eunhyuk laughed.
“I'm not blaming you, Hyung,” Kyuhyun assured, “I just want to know what's been going on with you while you were overseas.”
Eunhyuk nodded, “I understand.” Eunhyuk got out of bed and washed his face in his own private restroom before returning with a refreshed and prepared air, “I told you I wasn't faking rebellion, I really did have the rebellious streak in me. Well, while I was overseas I often indulged myself in night life. I never did anything bad. Well, not too bad, anyways, but everything went wrong when I met this escort several years ago.”
“Prostitution? You were into prostitution?” Kyuhyun smirked.
“No, Kyuhyun, I wasn't into prostitutes,” Eunhyuk rolled his eyes. He joined Kyuhyun at the other end of the room, “Anyhow, I met this guy - they called him Bada - and we sort of had a fling.”
Kyuhyun laughed, “You mean a one night stand?”
“Something like that,” Eunhyuk blushed, “afterwords, we started meeting up as friends and what not, everything was fine, until he suddenly wanted to get serious.”
“And being the responsible Prince that you are, you rejected,” Kyuhyun evaluated, his tone filled with sarcasm.
Eunhyuk nodded, “But he kept insisting and persisting, kept coming at me with different pursuing method. It was just so cute-”
“And so you gave in and accepted him,” Kyuhyun added.
“Yes, I did,” Eunhyuk sighed, “Not too long after my identity was found out by some stalker-ish freaks and so I had to go into hiding. I couldn't tell father, he would have taken my head. Bada protected me, he shielded me with everything he had. Not that I needed it.”
“No, of course not,” Kyuhyun rolled his eyes.
“Is that sarcasm I hear?” Eunhyuk angrily pouted, his manly ego somewhat injured. Kyuhyun shook his head innocently. “ANYWAYS,” he sighed, “for the time we spent together, he was always either protecting me or fighting for me and, in the long run, I got tired of it.”
Kyuhyun sat up, “you just left?”
“No, I called it off. I told him I was through with him, that I was through with hiding and being treated like a weak girl,” Eunhyuk groaned as he fell back into his seat.
Kyuhyun smiled to himself, “That sounds so familiar. So, what happened after?”
“You mean, after I broke it off with him? Well, I moved to a different city, transferred to a different school, met different people. I never saw him again.”
“That's it? He didn't try to get you back? Didn't ask you why?” Kyuhyun questioned ins disbelief.
“I told him why,” Eunhyuk corrected, “I thought that was it, too. Until everyone I started getting close to would eventually distance themselves from me and then I was just isolated all together. I knew something was wrong.”
Kyuhyun clasped his hands together and lifted them to his lips in thought, “So he's actually quite powerful.”
“Recently I've been receiving threat letters;” Eunhyuk began to explain with a more serious tone, “letters blackmailing about father, letters warning about your safety, and so I decided to come home and verify that everything's alright-”
“Except, things aren't alright,” Kyuhyun sighed.
Suddenly the doors burst open and Heechul came sprinting towards them, documents in hand. “Sorry to interrupt, Princes. I've been researching with investigators and detectives lately. It's impossible to find out who's behind the entire dilemma, but-” Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk blinked up at him, “I really did interrupt something, didn't I? Should I leave you two alone?”
“No, it's fine, Heechul hyung,” Eunhyuk laughed, “I was just telling Kyuhyun about the issues that brought me back to Korea.”
“Ahh, I see,” Heechul smiled as he sat down beside the Princes. “Quite the story, isn't it? Our little prince falling in love with an escort. I bet the entire South Korea would be ecstatic to hear of such blasphemy.”
“They won't,” Eunhyuk growled. “You better keep your lips tight about this one, Hyung, or I swear I might just have to cut those flappy lips of yours off!”
Heechul rolled his eyes, “As I was saying. It's impossible to discover the master mind behind the treason, but I can connect the pieces between Geunyoung and this so-called Bada. Of course, we all know that's not his real name, but we realized that Bada - aside from being a dog species - is actually another term for sea.”
“So, his name either has to do with the sea or is a sea,” Kyuhyun concluded.
Heechul stared at Eunhyuk, “Any ideas?”
“I...” Eunhyuk sighed, “Well, he did mention that his grand father always took him to the East Sea when he was a child. Unfortunately, his grand father was murdered at an early age and his parents were both killed in an accident not long after.”
“That story sounds extremely familiar,” Kyuhyun sighed. As if reading each others mind, Kyuhyun and Heechul threw each other a glance before stating the name in unison. “Moon Geunyoung.”

Sungmin plopped onto the bench beside Yesung, who had been sitting in the hall for about half an hour now. “Are you alright? You look terrible,” Sungmin asked, roughly running his hand through his older brothers messy hair.
“Yeah, I'm fine,” Yesung groaned as he stretched. “How's Kibum feeling? It's been about a week since he's started recovering.”
Sungmin smiled, “he's recovering well, getting a lot of rest.”
“I highly doubt that since you're always around,” Yesung teased, “what's it like? Having someone risk their life in exchange for yours.”
“Horrible,” Sungmin chuckled sadly, “it feels absolutely disgusting.” Yesung patted him on the back. “It's different from when you used to protect me, hyung. I felt loved, happy, and glad to have an older brother like you. I went to learn martial arts so I could give you the same kind of sheltering.”
“It never came in handy,” Yesung laughed.
Sungmin frowned, “Shut up! I tried.” They both laughed. “But when Kibum protected me, I felt so scared, so sorry, and everything just flashed before my eyes. Watching him take my bullets hurt me more than the one shot he couldn't save me from.”
“That does sound horrible,” Yesung nodded. “But it made you love him more.” Sungmin nodded. “Then that's all that counts, right?”
“No,” Sungmin shook his head, “because now I feel indebted to him. I've always loved him, ever since the first time I saw his geeky self in the back of the room flipping through the pages of the textbook with his thick glasses. But now I feel like I owe him.”
“You do owe him.” Sungmin looked up to his brother, Yesung stood in front of the door with his hand on the door knob, “you owe him your entire life.”
Sungmin smiled to himself, “Does that mean I don't have to take care of you when you get old and rusty?”
“You wish!” Yesung laughed, slowly turning the knob.
“Hyung,” Sungmin laid a hand on Yesung's shoulder, “face your feelings. Don't allow yourself to do anything you'll regret, you don't know when it will be too late.” Yesung smiled weakly at Sungmin and nodded. They entered the bright room, a gust of wind blowing against them lightly. This was the room they all grew accustomed to, this was the room in which they were all reborn.

Bored of being caged in the Royal Palace for too long, Eunhyuk finally managed to sneak out of his fathers sight and ventured the country he had so long been absent from. When he left South Korea, he was too young to remember or recognize anything around him. This little tour he brought upon himself was refreshing.
He settled in a small cafe; the coffee steamed a soothing aroma and the lights were dim and relaxing. He nuzzled the back of his neck on the rim of the chair and closed his eyes, enjoying the soft music that was playing.
Lifting his hand to his neck, he ran his fingers down his esophagus and onto his chest. His tracks stopped right above his pumping heart. It was hurting, hurting so bad that he almost thought his fingers went numb and that the organ stopped beating. His head pulsed with each pump of his heart, his fingers throbbed as his heart clenched and released. These were the memories he wished he could forget.
“Your coffee, sir,” the waiter greeted as he placed the coffee on the table top. “Are you okay? You look like you're in immense pain.”
Eunhyuk bolted in his seat and immediately straightened himself out, “I'm fine.”
“Oh my-,” the waiter covered his mouth, “I'm so sorry, Prince, I didn't realize... If I had known sooner, your coffee wouldn't have taken so long!” Eunhyuk waved and shook his head. “Are you sure you're feeling alright? Should I call an ambulance? You're looking awfully pale.”
Eunhyuk laughed, “I'm really just fine, I was just reminiscing on some old memories.” Eunhyuk glanced at the boy; he was tremendously skinny, small and had very feminine features. His voice was high pitched, for a guy, but he had the sweetest, most sincere, smile. He caught sight of the name tag, his name was Ryeowook.
“Is there anything I can help you with?” Ryeowook asked.
Eunhyuk glanced between Ryeowook and the cup of coffee, “You know, maybe you can.” Eunhyuk motioned for Ryeowook to take a seat and he obliged obediently. “I fell in love, a little too deeply, with someone completely wrong. Because of the trouble I caused, I came home in attempt to protect my family from my wrong-doing but I ended up lying to them and myself.”
“Them? Are you referring to your family or the person you fell in love with?” Ryeowook asked, his eyes were wide in shock.
Eunhyuk thought to himself momentarily, “both.”
“That... that's not good,” Ryeowook shook his head. Eunhyuk took a sip out of the hot cup of coffee, it started out bitter but slowly sweetened and calmed him. “Have you talked to them? The person you like, I mean.”
“No,” Eunhyuk replied shortly.
Ryeowook smiled, “You should start there. Have a talk with him, explain things.”
“It's too late now,” Eunhyuk sighed, his eyes dangerously narrowed, “that person has endangered my family and the people they love.”
Ryeowook shook his head, “Can you be absolutely certain it was his doing? I don't know what happened between you two and what lies you made but if you loved that person so much, they can't be that bad after all, right?” Eunhyuk stared at Ryeowook, unable to find any words that could correspond with his thoughts. “Everyone has a reason for their actions, perhaps this is all just a misunderstanding,” Ryeowook added before he stood and retreated to the kitchen.
Eunhyuk took another sip out of his coffee, it was dramatically colder than before. The bitterness of the drink was doubled but so was the sweetness. Indeed, not all things change entirely.

“Oppa,” Geunyoung whispered across the room. A man was sprawled across the cold cement ground, his arms tied to his legs. He groaned lightly at the call of his name. Slowly his eyes opened and blinked several times before he regained his consciousness. “Oppa!” Geunyoung whispered again.
The man shifted his body groggily, hissing at the pain at his stomach. He was bruised on the arm, and most likely the ribs, with blood trickling down his cheek. “G-geunyoung,” he finally managed to choke.
Geunyoung sat up and got to her knees, slowly navigating herself to her older brother. All of a sudden the door was kicked open and two men entered, an evil smirk on their rough faces. They threw each other a glance before tossing two boxed lunches on the ground.
“Don't touch me!” Geunyoung shouted, causing her brother to immediately focus his attention. The two men were untying her. After they finished, they took a brief look at the boy, who was too injured to cause any commotion, and exited the room.
Geunyoung helped her brother sit up and inspected his wounds, tears pouring from her round eyes. “I'm sorry, Oppa, I'm so sorry,” she repeatedly apologized. “I never should have gotten us into this.” Her brother shook his head with a small smile before returning to his chain of coughs. “I never should have called you back from overseas, it's all my fault.”
