Sherlock (Okay, maybe I do want to talk about it.)

Here's the rule for this post: I will talk about this show. I will even talk about things not in this post if you want to bring them up. However, you cannot ruin it for me in the comments. If you hate the things I love, talk about it elsewhere, not in the comments to this entry. I realize I'm being weird and neurotic about this show, but you're ( Read more... )

I'm not sure how the ending could be spoiled - as you say, it's commonly known, even by people who never read ACD's stories, that Sherlock doesn't really die at Reichenbach Falls. so unless people were expecting this version to vary dramatically from canon, everyone *should* know he's not really dead. however, I can see people not wanting to be spoiled for *how* the deception is pulled off or characters' reactions to the 'death'

Ah, good point. In the specific conversation, people were referring to Sherlock not dying as "*ending spoiler*" (so as not to spoil anyone who hadn't seen the ep yet).

Google docs? Are you, perhaps, intimating that you have some previously-unreleased Sherlolly fic lying about, waiting to be discovered? Any chance we'll get to see some of it soon?

(If this wasn't print, you'd note the hopeful, whining note in my voice right now.)

He of course couldn't mention Molly to Moriarty that he miscounted since Molly was the ace up his sleeve--but someone pointed out that in his final speech to John (I confess I haven't been able to rewatch, since the whole last 25 minutes pretty much destroyed me the first time round) he asks John to apologize for him to Lestrade, Mrs. Hudson and Molly.

I was still expecting him to tell Moriarty as a last-minute "you've lost" kind of gloating.

He does include Molly in his list of people.

Hee! I wouldn't hold your breath. It's still in-progress stuff I'm a little unsure about. But I appreciate the encouragement!

Of course I like Molly. She's us: the smart, mousy girl who adores the hero.

Yep, pretty much.

It's good that I recognize this, right?

Yes and it's also good that Moffet and Gatiss also get it.

Yes. As far as fangirlish characters go, Molly is a good one. They've avoided the meanness and mocking that usually go with it.
