The whole thing gave me an odd sense of anticipation, be it from the relationship secrecy and Remus' nervousness, or his general sense of waiting for the future to happen, or just from wondering how you were gonna get drunk Santa in there... I was not expecting Sirius drunk under a tree, but then yep, makes perfect sense, really hehe. And that whole last paragraph is just so sweet and homely and happy, it's like the tension just eked out of me :)
His dad always said that anything worth having is worth waiting for. This exchange is worth it every year :')
