Gorgeous and haunting. The short scenes hit hard, the abrupt end even harder. The structure of this conveys the feelings of deep despair of the First War more effectively than most any fic I have ever read! Bravo!

Wow, i hadnt expected this at all. Even the opening part seemed to be a little lighthearted but this fic so wasnt. There is some serious emotion here. and i can only wish that i could give the boys a hug. because after this they need one. *hugs boys.....hugs author too :3*

*HUGS*

Thank you for the wonderful comment! :D Yeah, it started out lighter than I had originally expected it to, but I think that's how the entire situation was for them. I'm glad you think it worked, because I was worried it'd come off badly. XD

Thanks again!

You wrote the prompt in very well. I like the idea of London calling being code for the Order. The slow breakdown of Remus and Sirius' relationship was very well written, I felt for Remus at the end.

The hopelessness and despair was just palpable through the whole fic. Watching their relationship deteriorate, becoming more and more poisonous, was devastating.

This:
It would take several tries for Remus to coax him out of bed, each time taking longer than the last. Finally, Remus would leave Sirius there, his heart constricted in anxiety as he went on his own and waited for Sirius to follow.

He didn't know what he would do if Sirius ever chose to stop coming after him.... broke my damn heart.

No matter how many times I read about the First War and the suspicions mounting with the Order's losses, it never fails to hurt. But as another has already said, your telling of that familiar story is unforgettable.
I found your description of how each of the Marauders reacted to their first order meeting vivid and insightful. I thought that would be the most lasting image but each vignette resonated so well. My tension mounted along with the boys for boys they were. So very young. Canon stories like this make the fact that they had a chance to be reunited later seem like a happy ending.

The First War is almost always painful, but it's such an integral part of our puppies' lives that I don't think any of us could ever really step away from it completely. You're right, though; it makes the end of PoA seem so much happier in comparison. :)

Thank you for the lovely comment. <3
