Summary: Times are growing darker. Order missions are failing and the body count is rising. But Remus knows he'd be able to make it through all that, if it weren't for this.
Notes: A huge thanks to L for the beta. When I wrote this, I used the entirety of "Let It Be" for inspiration. If anyone is curious where the Catholicism in the fic came from, it was inspired by the "Mother Mary" lines in the song. While that particular "Mary" was later revealed to be McCartney's own mother, many people still think of the Virgin Mary (myself included).
