Well, this was a lovely, light, fun read. It helps that I spent most of it singing the bits of RENT out loud to my empty office. I loved all the little details, like Remus wondering if Sirius just assumes everyone is awkward all the time. Or noticing that he was taller than Sirius. They totally made this all the more rich. Lovely story.

It's refreshing to see Remus expanding Sirius' horizons in this, as it's often the other way round - and I'll definitely be putting Rent on my to-see list after this. The little moments of humour were great touches, like James' ranting seeming more urgent, fringe of fringes and paintings not reacting to insults!

Aaahhh!!Wasn't that a good ending, Sirius? See, thank Aunt Dorea for coming to James' house. That was really sweet, from the starting, seeing Remus so in love with Sirius, all starry-eyed. Ugh,I loved it to pieces!!!Haha, only Sirius would make such a dramatic confession.

well, thanks. now i have rent stuck in my head. in fact, this adorable story made me want to listen to it so badly that i dug out my actual cd from storage rather than just streaming. and i'm glad i did!

siriusly, though, this was really darling and fun and just what i needed on gloomy, rainy day. i've always loved the idea of combining rent and r/s and you did it beautifully. this was very well-written, too.

oooh Sirius in a kilt :) It has been years since I saw Rent, time for a rewatch. No brownie points for me :( I googled it and now I remember, don't tell my daughter I forgot that lol This is a very sweet story and I loved pining Remus and Lily. Thank you!
