Ah this story- it was so beautifully and cleverly written. It was a completely immersive AU and I don't think that that is an easy thing to pull off ( ... )

I think high word counts might turn some people away but I was personally ecstatic when I saw this. Not that there is anything wrong with shorter pieces (and long works can ramble pointlessly at times) but I was waiting for a fic that gave time to explore the world and characters and this did!

This could be an original piece, you've created such an in depth AU. Everyone fit in perfectly and was characterized so well. I really got a sense of where this was set, there was some vivid (at times dark) imagery.

The love story really was wonderful. A slow realization. It was gentle and yet very powerful. The ending had me tearing up.

I really enjoyed this. Thank you for writing this!

This is without a doubt an amazing AU. The time, blood sweat and tears this must have taken really shows up in this high quality fic. Really well done. I throughly enjoyed this tale. Brilliantly done. Thank you for sharing it. That whole birth scene was really tough. You did so well. Fabulous.

This is such a beautiful and original setting! I love the otherworld imagery, and the more mystical and vital magic. You've really kept the character of the order and the underground war atmosphere strong here. And the boys' attraction and eventual love is wonderfully displayed.

I was glad for the break today so I could finally sit down and give this the attention it deserves! Even though I'm not really into selkie stories (honestly I didn't know what they were until this fest), I really enjoyed yours. You create a complex, immersive AU that has nice parallels to the HP universe but also creates its own mythology. But the way you write the relationships is what I like best-I love the relationship between Sirius and Regulus especially. And I love the way you wrote Dumbledore and made him such an important force in Sirius's life, especially at the end, which was beautiful and perfect. But my favorite section of all was this moment between Remus & Sirius:
And then they moved as one, discarding clothing and sinking into one another with the desperation that comes from witnessing death and life and hard truths wrapped in bitter lies. For all though it was borne of sorrow and fear, it was still sweet and good, and they lay together afterward and knew that no matter what else happened to them, this had been right. ( ... )
