I have to say, I'm not usually a fan of AUs like this, but something about this story drew me in at the original, and I'm so glad I stuck around and read through it, because it's turned out magnificent. I love the world-building and the richness of it all, the way you explained everything without making it all about that.

Oh that was just spectacular. I love how you wove the colour of Cas's wings into the mating ritual.

oh my GOD this is one of the best things I've read lately. I adore Sassy fic and the way you write it and how their relationship progresses from just Sam wanting to get Dean back to Sam wanting to get Dean back and wanting Castiel... gorgeous.

And then the whole Dean/Gabriel thing? Yes, please. I love it.

Ack I haven't actually read very many Dean/Gabriel fics because it's such an underrated ship and I haven't been able to find many good ones since I'm somewhat picky about what I read but imho this was pretty spot on. I loved the simplicity of their relationship, the way they acted around each other. How Gabriel just wanted Dean to be happy killed me inside.

(Also I just reread it and "Consorts are special. The gamble is not so great for a consort. Angels do not stray." was such a beautiful line. I love it.)

I think that Gabe and Dean would make good companions in personality, but I ... erm, I don't really have many feels beyond that. So I'm glad that simple relationship worked for you! Angel!gabriel is complicated tho...

I do love that line, too. I think my favorite idea is the way the wings make Sam feel. The privacy curtain of black wings that draw Sam's focus in on Castiel alone -- blocking out all else -- while the golden wings are like having the light shine on him, revealing every secret, allowing for total openness. *siiiiiigh* Wings give me feels.
