[015] video; fuck yeah chocobos

Apr 08, 2011 21:51

[The video opens up on Kuja surrounded by a multitude of multicolored chocobos, not only the ones from his world, but others as well. At the moment he's sidesaddle on a white chocobo, stroking its head with an odd fondness. Seems like the local jerkass is good with animals ( Read more... )

Why are you being nice to them?

[pet pet he really like the white chocobo.]

Why not? They're amiable creatures.

They're ugly and annoying.

Then I'm afraid we must disagree on this point.

[Because chocobos luff him. Yesss.]

I've seen a couple of different colored ones back home. I've seen a black one and a gold one before.

The gold I've heard about, but the black I have no idea existed at all.

[As if on cue, a black chocobo draws near. Kuja pats it on the head as well, and it gives a satisfied kweh.]

I'd appreciate any information you could give me.

I'm not sure I'll be of much help, but I know that there were many people would breed them trying to get a faster or stronger chocobo. From what I've seen, the golden ones are quite rare and tend to be the best chocobos genetics has to offer.

Hmmm... well, while the methods to obtain one is different, I suppose the end result is much the same. Gold chocobos on my Gaia are desirable for their rarity and ability to fly.

I prefer my dragon for such transport, but to each their own.

[Oh look, Shelke is still on the one she managed to tame a short time back. Well, still isn't accurate. More like back on it since every time she tries to dismount it begins to preen at her hair which in the end has given her quite the bad hair day. She doesn't seem to care]

I'm afraid I haven't seen chocobos before this and the colours weren't relevant to my research. Do the colours have a significance?

On my Gaia, color indicated habitat and terrain abilities. For instance, pale blue chocobos can transverse rivers, while dark blue ones can cross oceans. Consequently, that is where such chocobos make their domain. Likewise, red chocobos keep to the mountains.

I see...

[The one she was on 'warked' and she patted it's head.]

Wow! I've only ever seen yellow chocobos. That's amazing!

[He tilts his head, bringing a fist to his chin.] What makes you think they have different properties?

The colors I am familiar with had different attributes based on coloration, so I assumed it was the same with the others. I suppose it is possible that they are from another world where color is merely a quirk of genetics.
