[ The Chocobo Chick has somehow managed to find himself in the town square, which is decidedly not Cocoon, Pulse, or Sazh's hair. Perched on the back of a bench, he looks around -- but more importantly, looks adorable. ]

[Nanaki is moving through the center of town when a flash of yellow on a bench catches his eye. He pauses when he sees the Chocobo chick, freezing in place when instinct takes over. It's one of the few creatures that he recognizes as food here, even if it is just a baby.
Slowly, he creeps forward, though he does take a moment to wonder why he sees a chocobo here now, when he hasn't before.]
[He almost snarls when the bird flies out of reach- so close! He was so close, if only the thing hadn't noticed!
But then his more human reasoning takes over. It's a baby chocobo, not even an adolescent, certainly not large enough for him to be considering prey. Slowly, he lowers his hackles until he looks like less of a threat.]
I'm sorry, little one. I'm not going to harm you. [He stays away from the tree, though. It might only be a baby, but even little chocobos have sharp beaks.]

[ The chick rustles his feathers; he doesn't believe that. He doesn't know what Nanaki is, but he's snarling and hunting and looks too much like something that want to eat him -- not to mention actually tried to eat him for him to move.
Instead, he hops on the branch, feathers puffing out slightly. ]
[Fang had been on her way to visit Vanille at the flower shop, but a very familiar noise catches her ears. She grins when she spots the chocochick, leaning forward with her hands on her hips.]
Hey now, you're a way from Sazh's hair, aren't ya?
[She's done working at the flower shop for the day and was heading down the town square since it was the only way to get to the hotel. While she's walking, she has a flower basket full of flowers inside of it, but while she was looking down on her flowers, she noticed something small, yellow, and fluffy out of the corner of her eye. Once her attention turned to the little chocobo, a bright smile appeared on her lips.]
Tee hee heee...I never expected to see a chocobo here especially a baby one. [She walks up to the baby chocobo softly and smiles at him.] Hello there. Are you looking for your mother?
[ Cocking his head to one side, the chick cheeps at her softly and flutters his wings. It's an attempt to say "No, I'm looking for Sazh!". It also has the side-effect of looking adorable. ]
[She really doesn't understand much chocobo language because she sadly lost the ability to speak to animals when she was little, but she could tell he might be saying no. She couldn't tear her eyes away because he was so adorable and small.]
Hmmm...you aren't looking for your mother, but...you must have an owner, right? You aren't a wild chocobo, right?
[Alma has spent her day exploring the town and attempting to get used to her surroundings. Hoping to rest her feet, she wanders over to the bench and raises her eyebrows in surprise at the sight of the chocobo chick. It's hard not to smile.]
[Alma sits, taking a moment to stretch her legs before frowning down at the chick. Poor little adorable bb. ;;]
My sympathies. I'm quite lost, myself... hm. Do you have an owner? [She secretly hopes the answer is no so she can take him home, but that doesn't seem likely. Oh well.]
[Cloud can totally resist the cute, in fact, he's going to try to avoid more silly nicknames via Zack. In the end, he loses the battle and he's making his way over to the baby chocobo, reaching out to give him a pet. He's hoping nobody is going to see him.]
[ The chick is momentarily distracted by Cloud's hair, so he doesn't notice the hand reaching out to pet him. Once it makes contact, he flutters slightly, but when he isn't grabbed in any way, he bumps back against the hand and cheeps an affirmative. ]
[Cloud's going to melt a little here, thanks. He smiles and ruffles up his feathers, holding his hand out for the chick; letting him decide if he wanted to be picked up or not.]
