My plans these days always end up getting turned upside down, and more often than not it's because I end up getting suckered into... rather OUT OF, my self-loathing broodfests. You know, the ones I plan the second I wake up, the ones where I plan on spending the entire day with a dark cloud over my head feeling sorry for myself ( Read more... )

Lorne had to help me walk to his place my head throbbing so when we got there I immediatly headed off to the couch to lay down.

"Sorry, I..I just need to lay down."

I said the asprin still in my hand.

"And do you have any water?"

I asked as I looked around.

"Also I like the changes you made, looks nice."

I looked at Lorne worried then sat across from Angie.

"So..."

I said trying to change the subject that apparently Angie didn't want to talk about.

I went to the kitchen and opened up the cupboard looking for a glass to give Ang some water in. I pulled one down and filled it from the jug in the fridge, and brought it over her.

"Here ya go, Pumpkin," I told her as I handed her the glass and sat down beside where she lie on the couch. Comfortingly, I brushed a lock of her hair out of her face and smiled at her.

"I got some scotch that'll knock that headache into next week," I offered, jokingly.

I turned to Caitlen. "What kinda moves you like, Kiddo?"

I took the glass and drank the water down with the pills.

"thank you, and no, just need to let these set in"

I said softly as I looked to Cait for her answer.

I couldn't help but laugh at first.

"See Cait, I told you that your singing sucked"

Then he passed out and something occured to me.

"Oh crap..it wasn't so much as your singing as it was...well your singing."

I jumped up and ran over to him.

"What do you mean?"

Then she told me about him and it made sense.

"Crap...oh no I didn't mean to..."

I was probably out for a couple of minutes, but when I finally came to, the headache was immense and so was the gigantic welt on my forehead from hitting the coffee table.

I sat up on the floor and rubbed at it, groaning. "I think I'm growing another horn," I joked. "Ow."

Caitlen was looking rather panicked. And well, she had every right to. I mean, making the psychic faint after you sang wasn't really the best sign for you.

And okay, you're probably expecting me to say that it wasn't Caitlen's singing that did it, it was her destiny. Actually, it was the other way around. It was Caitlen's singing. Not because it was bad, don't get me wrong, it's just that I hadn't done any readings in a very long time, and my mind was extremely rusty. So rusty, like I said before, that even the slightest of bad readings will give me a doozy of a headache. And that's where I was ( ... )

"No Lorne, its ok, just tell her...her singing sucked."

I said with a small smile as I helped him up off the floor.

"Hey it even gave me a headache."

She threw something at me.

"I'm kidding Cait, seriously though, Lorne you gonna be ok?"

I finally found the damn asprin, he had it behind a bunch of things and in the last cabinet I looked. Remind me next time to look in the last cabinet first. Anyway I finally found it and then made him a stiff drink as well. He needed it.

I then walked back into the room seeing Cait clinging to him and I let out a sigh.

"I missed something didn't I?"

"I think Cait was just worried about me, is all," I lied. "I hope this welt on my forehead goes down soon."

I rubbed at it, an annoyed look on my face. "Did you find the aspirin okay, Crumbcake?" I asked. I noticed she had a drink in her hand. Hot damn.

I smiled at them, knowing full well Lorne was lying, but I know that Cait needed someone she could trust and if Lorne was that right now than it was all good.

"Asprin and the strongest drink I know how to make."

I said with another smile as I handed him both.

"Thanks, Kitten," I said as I took both from her, fired the aspirin into my mouth and took a hard slug of my drink. "Ahh that's good liquor," I said with a smile.

I gave Caitlen a quick squeeze and then smiled at Ang.
