He needs a canon review by now, I know, but advice would be cool.

This is mostly advice for Kamui after he sides with the Dragons of Heaven. I can give you advice from before if you like, but this is just where I see most people playing him from.

Remember that he has a really short temper, but he doesn't seem to stay angry for long. The best example I can think of are Saiki's death and Fuuma messing with Yuzuriha. He was enraged right away, but he cooled off (or in the case of Saiki's death, went from enraged to crying) really quick.

He's got a guilt complex a mile wide. Do play on that -- he blames himself for Saiki's death, Subaru's eye, the death of Keiichi's parents, Kotori's death, etc. etc. If there's even any instance where someone close to him is hurt and he could have done something to prevent, even if only theoretically, he should considering it a personal shortcoming that he did't. But do not have him openly wallow in it. He blames himself, yes, but he doesn't get depressed or stagnate over it.
