This is mostly advice for Kamui after he sides with the Dragons of Heaven. I can give you advice from before if you like, but this is just where I see most people playing him from.

Remember that he has a really short temper, but he doesn't seem to stay angry for long. The best example I can think of are Saiki's death and Fuuma messing with Yuzuriha. He was enraged right away, but he cooled off (or in the case of Saiki's death, went from enraged to crying) really quick.

He's got a guilt complex a mile wide. Do play on that -- he blames himself for Saiki's death, Subaru's eye, the death of Keiichi's parents, Kotori's death, etc. etc. If there's even any instance where someone close to him is hurt and he could have done something to prevent, even if only theoretically, he should considering it a personal shortcoming that he did't. But do not have him openly wallow in it. He blames himself, yes, but he doesn't get depressed or stagnate over it. When his loved ones are injured Kamui has always, always, always taken it upon himself to do better, to try harder, to find some way to prevent it next time, or even prevent next time from happening.

On that note, don't have him give up. Ever. This is an easy trap to fall into if you're drawing him from the very end of X canon, so be careful. He can accept that when/if he's sent back home he'll likely be killed, but he shouldn't ever resign himself to it. Right now he believes that the most important thing to him is bringing Fuuma back. He's not going to give up on that wish until he realizes his true one, and he's certainly not going give up.

Don't focus too much on just one person in Kamui's life. It's another easy trap to fall into with how important Subaru and Fuuma are to him, but the others are important too, especially Sorata, Arashi, and Yuzuriha. Don't forget about Karen and Aoki and, if you're lucky enough to get either, Saiki and Keiichi. I shouldn't even have to mention Kotori. Don't have him completely stonewall the Dragons of Earth either, except for maybe Seishirou and Satsuki. Remember that he gets angry at Fuuma when he thinks that he's killed Kanoe. Kamui might resent other people and even hold grudges, but him actively hating someone should be extremely rare.

Finally, he's not stupid. He's not going to blurt something out without thinking. Also remember that he's very observant. He's the first to notice something is up with Hinoto, and he keeps his thoughts to himself for a long time before her Shikigami makes him say something to Sorata.

I'd tl;dr at you a while longer, but my brain's a bit wrung out right now. Hope this helps.
