From fairly early on in the series (ie: just after capturing the Song Card) but any other advice is welcome.

The most important thing I think people forget about Sakura is that she cares so much that it can be a flaw. Syaoran has to keep talking her out of crying and into focusing on the situation, at least early on in the series, and the episode with the Sword Card has a similar situation. She doesn't let him hurt Rika even though the two of them might get hurt instead, and she doesn't think about it-- she just acts. She does it again later in the series-- in the manga, she goes out chasing Eriol's presence once when she's quite ill, and in the anime, she tries to change several cards at once when she begins to worry about them, before Kero can correct her
