Zexion || Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories anonymous September 4 2009, 21:49:01 UTC
I think I've got the Organization interactions down okay, but I'm having trouble branching out CR because I find Zexion to be rather private and close-carded among those he doesn't trust.

That said, any and all advice is cool!

Don't make him try too hard. I feel like a lot of the Zexions I see around are very obviously jonesing to manipulate people. He's a manipulator and probably has some acting skills to go with that; he wouldn't be so obvious, and could probably come across as quite pleasant if he so wished.

I would suggest plotting oocly with other muns who'd throw their outgoing characters at him. Also, some characters might even like him, especially if he offered them opportunities to learn from him even in small or trivial ways. I could also see him sort of being generally genial with people, if distant; you could have him build up a sort of "toolbox" of people, ripe to be manipulated as he wished if he needed it. If you could make him come to the conclusion that engaging people in that way might be useful ICly, you might have an easier time. Not that I think he'd ever really suffer idiots.

Some of this stuff is a bit old and from previous advice memes, some of it is new and specific. It's pretty teal deer, though.

* I think Zexion would probably poke around for information and perhaps interact outside the Organization maybe to fool people into trusting him, so that he could use them later on. I do not think he'd give out what he is or anything about the Organization, though; if anything, I see him as the sort to keep most things about himself concealed. Another thing is that anyone intelligent could perk his interest, perhaps, while those with blatant flaws or naivety could be useful pawns ( ... )

* Zexion is and has been a Nobody for ten years. Perhaps he was a decent individual before he lost his heart, perhaps not; it's not clear, but what is clear is that somewhere along the way he became corrupted by the darkness, just as the other apprentices had, and deteriorated. I should think that after ten years of remaining an emotionless shell he's become very good at acting, which aids him in his manipulation, but, logically, I see him as the sort who wouldn't let any fake emotions fool himself. Deep down I'm sure he knows they're just an illusion, much like his element ( ... )

* Okay, now here's for fighting. Zexion isn't that much of a fighter, but when he does, he can be pretty crafty. Trapping people in books, hiding himself among illusion books, and sometimes doing something as epic as copying attacks or using METEOR if you miss his little spotlight thing. What I think this shows is that, as far as more magic-based fighting goes, Zexion can stand his ground fair enough. I actually own Final Mix +, and let me tell you, Zexion is pretty quick on his feet. His biggest downfall would probably be his lack of physical strength beyond his illusions and the amount of damage he takes; the guy seems pretty vulnerable.

* Despite being polite, Zexion can be a little bit snarky sometimes. Not to the level of Riku and other characters, but he has his own moments, although they're usually cleverly phrased and subtle.

And yeah...I probably went overboard, even if most of this is revised copypasta I made ages ago. Hopefully this helps, though. |D
