Yazoo doesn't have much character development in AC, so you're pretty much free to make him as cold, clever, and nasty as you can--I suggest you do that rather than go the 'maybe he's secretly emo' route, as the latter makes him really annoying in any given game. When he's played by someone who can pull of a cutting sense of humor, he's a lot of fun to read.

Yeah, I already know he's not a flouncey flower homosexual. Anything besides that, anon?

Be a creeper. Don't hesitate on it. Marluxia is one creepy bastard, cryptic and cool. With that, he has a very amazing allure to him. He's a sociopath; people flock to his personality and seem drawn to him.

If you're in a game with Larxene, then totally be plotting. If you don't have a Larxene and you're stuck with most of the rest of the Organization, then Marluxia needs to kiss up like no one's business. However, on the side, he'd be scheming on a way out. He's a lot like Zexion that way, scheming on the side, keeping an eye on all of the pieces.

If you've played Re:CoM and listened to the English VA, he makes Marluxia seem very emotionless...unless he's talking to Namine or if he's riled up. If you take the JP VA side, he's much more alluring-sounding, low voice, almost gentle and always condescending. He has power and he's not afraid to hold it over someone's head.

If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help. I play Namine in a few places and I'd love to see what you have in mind for playing him.

Ah, I actually don't have him in any game right now. I've really only played him here and there for a short while. He seems to be a fun muse, but I just don't feel confident with him, but I guess that's to be expected with a newer muse.

If Marluxia had to other Organization members or even castmates altogether, he'd still try to plot his way to the top, wouldn't he? Thinking about it now, I realize he'd have to go about it differently, thus why I ask.

Of course, yes. He would try to manipulate anyone onto his side and anyone fully against him would get full-on creeper-ness from him, coupled with threats and visible ways of backing those threats up. He would do anything for that seat of power...or maybe get someone weak to the top so he could kill them/get rid of them and replace them.

General - Suffixes anonymous March 8 2009, 17:52:09 UTC
Okay, I've been playing this character for a couple of years now. The muse is still strong, but there's one thing that keeps me from playing her as much as I should. Damn suffixes.

She calls everyone and everything "-san", and it's starting to drive me as a player insane. I originally kept it because she's from CLAMP, and they tend to make a big deal about suffixes and who calls who what, but I'm not so sure it's going to be important. My options as I see it are basically A) keep it, or B) abuse a "canon update" and have her come back without it, or C) drop her. I like option B, but it feels like it would be obnoxious to all of the CR she's made...

I'd like some second opinions, without my friends going "OH GOD YOU EVEN CONTEMPLATED DROPPING HER?" Though I feel pretty obvious

i'm pretty sure i know what character you're talking about... i actually feel pretty smart!!

well, if you want, you could try to tone it down a bit. still have her use it, but if it's really driving you crazy, you could make her say it a bit less. if you really want to drop her, though, you should. same with option b - if that's what you really want to do, though. think it over.

Thank you very much for your advice!

I really don't want to drop her. I kind of wish I had a magic button that said "EVERYONE FORGETS SHE USED SUFFIXES EVER", but I don't. ;; I'll keep thinking about it though, so thank you!

you could give her a character development somehow that would make her use "-san" less? such as another character instructing her not to or something, idk, i'm kind of braindead. .o.

but like, you know. try to work it in there so you could keep the CR?

k I've never played South Italy in an RP before but I've been trying to work up the courage to. This gave me an excuse to put down all the stuff I've been brainstorming. Shy anon is shy ( ... )
