Summary: For once, Rodney is willing to help with some research that wasn’t his idea.
Author’s Notes: These two are so cute!nerdy I could die.
He thought he had noticed an odd calculating look in her eye during dinner.
As usual, they were both working while eating - the table buried beneath their papers.
He caught her watching him - no, more like studying him.
“What?”
“Just thinkin’,” she answered serenely, scribbling down a note.
She finished first, but waited for him and they walk back to his room together.
“So, I’ve had a few ideas…” she started innocently.
A few of them might not even be anatomically possible, but he wasn’t stupid enough to point that out.
Not only that, but she’d brought props.
He wasn’t sure which is hotter - that’s she’d been inventing sex toy prototypes or the fact she’d brought her notes and calculations along too.
They were lucky it was a rare stormy night in Atlantis, the crashing thunder covering the noise of their research.
He stumbled into the labs the next morning - muscles aching and sporting a goofy grin.
The grin faded a little as he noticed the paper lying in his In Box.
It’s one of her “To Do” lists and there at the bottom, circled, is “Rodney should smile more often. He’s so handsome when he smiles”.
It’s lined through.
