It's been a day.

Aug 16, 2006 21:18

I had to leave my training for digital reference early because Bug smashed his eye on another kid's head at school. His eye swelled up so badly with a hematoma that the skin split. R & I ended up having to take him to the ER, where he had an orbital CT to rule out a fracture and had the split skin glued shut.

Omigoodness and omigoodness! Poor Bug.
And poor you too. You didn't do anything wrong. I'm glad the police were on your side. A person can be in your home when you aren't there no matter what your landlord says. Thank goodness you are out of there in three days.

Oh deary me, that's quite a shiner! I hope the little bug is okay!

And I hope you throw monkey poo at your landlord. What a creepy jerk. Keep us posted about what the police say.

Sending good vibes your way!

Little Bug is doing well. He's classic 4-year-old: running around like crazy and having to be reminded not to jump off things so he doesn't bump his eye.

Thanks for the good vibes, hon.

Aww... I'd love to sometime. Maybe after things have settled down after the move and I have another break from school?

Thank you for the hugs, hon. I'm better today. Ended up staying at P's last night cause I just was too weirded out. I'm home by myself now, though, and that feels OK.

This is the classic instance for the phrase, "and what does the other kid look like?!"

I can tell by the grin that he's going to be ok. And that's a very good thing.

And yeah. Monkey poo!

Hehehehehehe. You're not the first to ask this. :)

Other kid doesn't have a scratch on him. Apparently, the top of his head is *really* hard.
