Is your favourite coffee shop bean tree? I kind of doubt it because they've been moved for a long time, but maybe... they have the best damn chai ever where it's actually a bunch of spices and crap they put in warm milk and you have to strain the spices out as you pour it into a mug.
have you posted a picture of your hott white coat yet?
no, it's not beantrees, although that USED to be our favourite spot because of the carrot cake AND the chai. they moved and aren't open at night, or so i thought. the ideal coffee shop is The Fine Grind. it used to be on this tiny side street, but now it's on James street, across the street from the Honest Lawyer.
i still haven't taken a picture of the coat, and to think it was right there next to me the entire time of the craft show! sometime soon i will. OH YES I WILL.
my friends are the craftiest. they are so, so talented. they give THE BEST birthday gifts too.
i looked up vietnamese coffee on wikipedia and there was a small article about it with a picture, although it only mentioned having it over ice and mine was served hot.
yeah, they are beautiful. last year for Christmas, vanessa made one for each of her friends! she and tom also make large wooden chests with mosaic tops, too. i swear they should start a business!
i had never before thought to use these as washcloths until this past weekend when someone mentioned it. perhaps there is a whole, new, untouched market for crocheted washcloths out there?

And that Vietnamese coffee contraption sounds delish. I wonder where I can get one; there's got to be something similar in NYC.
