it was a good lunch for magazines.

that doesn't really make sense, but i mean that during my lunch break, i was able to score a couple of good magazines. first i went to the library to browse and came across Marie Claire. ever since youngspinster mentioned that it's her favourite glossy, i am starting to read it more (yes, i am so easily swayed). it is like

I am really curious as to how you like the MC mag - I want details. And YES! to finding the new Bitch. I have yet to finish that issue.

well in the current issue, the one with Julia Stiles on the cover, I was intrigued by the article about things that take longer, like does it take longer to get heroin or the morning after pill? or to get a restraining order or a gun? of course, it is easier to get heroin and a gun, and that makes for some very interesting reading. plus i think i also noticed (i was just flipping through) an article about the top ten charities to give towards. i find stuff like that inspiring, and it's enough to get me off my ass to donate.

I used to read it for a while...it was less grating than Cosmo, and did have articles worth reading. I may have to pick up a copy this week.

Cosmo can be summed up in two words: men and sex.

i mean, when i am in super girly, summertime, flip flop mode, a Cosmo is nice...but it's just a bit too focused on dating and men for me. i haven't read one in ages.

MC, Glamour, Bust (not lately though), and Bitch are my absolute favourites. and i sometimes secretly covet the Oprah magazine, but shhhh...that is top secret information...
