I'm not sure what I can do from here to convince you, but believe me, it was never my intent to harm you or anyone.

I was arrested (which I did not question or resist) and imprisoned; and have, for the past five days six days? It's hard to tell. God, it's hard to write been nothing but quiet and compliant. I have made no attempts to escape, no attempts to cause further subversion, and have in no way protested my treatment.

I apologize for the sloppiness of my handwriting, as it is difficult for me to write with my hands bound as they have been. Bindings which I have made no attempt to remove.

I swear to you, I don't want to see any of the inhabitants of Jhelbor harmed. Not you, not elves, not travelers, nor anyone else. I never want to see that.

If you don't believe me, well, there's not much else I can say. But from where I'm sitting, it seems like you need all the help you can get.

Call me kookie, but wold weapons do anyone any good? I mean, I'm not much of a fighter, but I know how to use a bow. Would it matter?

Is there anything I can do? I'm not sure I'll be much help with fighting, but I despise sitting around and doing nothing. Helping the elves with supplies or first aid...
