Nessie was the seeking part of the hide and seek equation. However, she is quite certain that she was neither looking through a tree for Jacob, nor was she playing hide and seek naked so when she falls through

Okay honestly? She's trying not to broadcast all of this. Jake doesn't need the extra panic. She's not very good at shutting it off. She tries to shut it down the way her Mom has been teaching her. She takes a deep breath.

"Uhm...Jake...remember the crappy werewolf movie I made you watch? With the girl that tore her family all apart and ate the neighborhood dogs...I think there's irony in your statement there."

She looks to the centaur and nibbles on her bottom lip a little. "He doesn't mean--we're just a little whip lashed. Why did the tree pull us here?"

"I haven't the slightest clue," admits Priya. "The centaurs have been studying the tree since we've arrived here, but we aren't any closer to the answers you seek."

Another tilt of her head, a strange, almost robotic behavioral tic. "Movie?" she asks, curiously. "And what's a werewolf?"

Jacob can't help but grin at Nessie's reminder. Whip-lashed was a nice way to describe it. He was still having a hard time adjusting his senses to his surroundings, other than the familiar feeling of Nessie beside him.

"I am. Kinda," he says in answer to Priya's question. "People who can turn into wolves. Technically I'm just a shape shifter, which is actually a lot cooler than being a werewolf anyway." He might be pouting scowling a little; it's not all that dignified.

The head tilting makes Nessie tilt her own head. It reminds her of Jasper when he's trying very hard to be good. Her brow furrows because she's assumed that the centaur knows what a movie is and she's inquiring which one. "Gingersnaps. It was awful."

She bumps Jacob with her shoulder. "Totally cooler than a werewolf. You hardly drool at all. The girl in the movie...loooots of drool."

"A movie is a type of gingersnap?" asks Priya, genuinely curious now. Centaurs are quite curious creatures, and the discovery of something new to learn is guaranteed to get their attention.

And override other concerns. Because Priya knows that they both must be very cold, in the winter weather, but -- she wants to find out about movies. She'll attend to the rest in a moment.
