Once Jacob finds the perfect hiding spot behind this huge rock, he crouches down for what feels like an eternity before hearing the light skip of Nessie-feet on the forest floor. The air wavers around him and sucks in a little as he phases and attempts to jump out in surprise at her, barking his laugh and expecting her to give chase.
He lands and stumbles a little, needing a moment to right himself on all four paws and shaking his head. Jacob looks behind him and forward again before he realizes that Nessie's not where she should be. His ears pin back and a growl rumbles a warning low in his throat. He doesn't even realize that he isn't where he's supposed to be.

"Hold on. Less furry might be good."
She pulls back, grabs a cloak from the ground and tosses it toward him before turning her back. "Not looking."

She gathers up the basket that she'd been fixing, at the edge of the lake, and shifts into a gallop. Over the narrow land bridge, and there's a girl, there, wrapped in a cloak.
A new arrival. Two, if the wolf next to her counts. The worldwalkers should really set up some sort of system of greeting...
"Hello," says Priya, pleasantly. And if the sight of a woman-horse naked from the waist up isn't surprise enough, the neutral-cheerful tone of hers probably is.

Then there's a freaking centaur in front of them. What. The hell. Jake moves forward in front of Nessie and he's pretty much shuffling her to the side. All thoughts of phasing back are forgotten, but he looks to Nessie to do some talking.

"H-hello." She's trying to be polite. Esme would be very dismayed if she weren't. "I-uhm...this isn't Forks."
