Soon after the storm starts, on Friday, the mermaids, in human form, enter the city.
They seem unfazed, both by the wind and the water; they're armed to the teeth, and they mow down everything in their path that tries to resist. If the elves were ninjas, in terms of their fighting abilities, the mermaids are basically terminators: there are few of them, but they don't seem to feel pain. They'll keep going until their target is destroyed, or until so much of them is torn apart that they can no longer move.
Feel free to fight them. Be prepared to be injured in the process.
