Devorah stepped up, reaching for the keys from Cherry. Most were taken out now; Cedric could put out the fire on Ginny.

Not that it would do much good, at this point.

Grimly, she unlocked the cell, taking a moment to knock unconscious the last couple guards.

"Come on," she called, to the Mother, unlooping the rope from her belt. Time to go out the window.

Cherry swerved gracefully in an arch, her eyes reflecting the fire for an eerie moment.

The Mother was out of the cell and Devorah was ready for them to make their escape. Cherry swooped down, snatching the keys from her again and made straight for the window. She circled the roof of the building, waiting to see the others make their move. It was best to follow them from the air.

And the weight of the keys was an excellent distraction from the rising panic Cherry was feeling.

"Ginny, oh God." Cedric had completely forgotten about the Sorcerer casting spells. He could hear her coughing, a horrible hacking sound, but at least it meant she was breathing. Something happened, then. The woman's dark eyes snapped around to look right at him, and a second later, so had Niko's. Enchanter. Cedric growled, putting it together too late to do any real good, and pulled Ginny out of the way of the twisty symbol being thrown at them through the air. He knocked the Sorcerer out, throwing him hard enough that he fell over a fallen soldier and went tumbling down the stairs ( ... )
