The thing about doing just about anything with Daxter was that sometimes it lead to trouble, a fact that anyone who knew him could quickly be made aware of. Daxter taking Jak out while he tried out this new ability doubled as Daxter trying it on on Jak to see how it went if he put effort on it, while simultaneously getting Jak out in a situation that could get him talking to people. But, due to Daxter being who he was, this could easily turn into Daxter needing Jak to keep him in line to prevent him causing trouble...or, failing that, Jak coming to Daxter's rescue if he did tick someone off.

But, all that aside, Daxter was around the corner, trying to project his thoughts to his best friend. The current subject was the cost of a rather nice belt that he'd love to save up for with the money he earned at the inn.

Jak was more than thankful he was being left alone, but considering how mean he'd been, perhaps he should make it up to Daxter?

Daxter was a material person though, so it should be something practical to avoid wasting money, like a belt. They made more than enough to get by considering Jak was avoiding nearly everything after cobbling together some new goggles.

Which he considered making a pair for Daxter too. This would require some deeper thought though. Leaning against a wall and putting a hand to his chin, he closed his eyes to block out the crowd.

Had Daxter known that Jak was currently thinking of making him goggles, he might have felt somewhat bad for not being more sensitive to him. But sensitivity wasn't really his strong point, and Jak refused to tell him anything about why he was the way he is now. So he simply dealt however he could...by trying to get his best friend to try and enjoy life.

Hey Jak, you listening? There's this sweet belt you have to see, he tried projecting his thoughts as hard as he could.

Cedric still did his best to avoid crowds. it was just not something he'd ever been comfortable with, not something he was likely to ever be comfortable with. He didn't like being in the middle of a lot of people.

Of course, a person needed to eat, and it was a financial drain to always be buying meals from taverns and restaurants. Just one of the reasons that the marketplace was one aspect of the city he couldn't avoid forever, no matter how crowded it was.

He noticed the short guy with the insanely bright hair, more for the ears than for the hair. Not a Rowan elf. Worldwalker, then, but not one Cedric knew. He'd seen him a couple of times, but they'd never actually spoken. That was fine with him.

Daxter hadn't received an answer, and wasn't sure if that meant that he couldn't hear Jak's thoughts or if his hadn't gotten through. Figuring that a belt couldn't disappear that fast though, he decided to go check on his buddy. But then he decided to wait a moment. If he checked someone close by to see if he could hear his thoughts it might help him guess if Jak might have heard maybe?

Scanning the area around him, it wasn't hard to spot the guy who had apparently just noticed him. Had to be the ears...it always was. Not being the type to pass upa chance to talk or test his powers, he tried projecting a simple greeting. hi there.
