Damon stumbled back to the apartment, feeling a little queasy. He really didn't like the way the demon's blood had tasted. And it didn't help that she had been so squirmy. God, he missed his powers. Lately, he had been feeling little spurts of ability, but they hadn't been his. Not really. He couldn't explain it, but when he tried to tap into his memory altering abilities, instead, he could feel weird emotions, floating around him like wind currents.

"Honey, I'm home," he murmured absently, stepping through the door. He really wanted to get a place of his own, but for some reason, it seemed important to consolidate the blood-sucking fiends in the city. Maybe it was because if he went down, he was taking her down with him. Or maybe it was a weird sense of loyalty to his sort-of niece. With Damon, either was possible.

He collapsed down onto the nearest chair, leaning his head back and taking a few breaths through his mouth to try and wash away the taste. He kicked off his boots.

"In here," Bonnie called out before really thinking it through. Not that it mattered. The water was covering her up to her shoulders, but she pulled her knees against her chest for good measure. There. Whatever she had to hide was hidden.

She shut the journal and reached up to place it onto the stand by the tub. Damon told her that he had been doing this vampire thing for longer than she had and that he could keep a secret. It was true that he'd been at this longer than she was, but she wondered if that didn't make him more of a threat. Damon liked playing with fire, and that took on a whole new level of danger for vampires.

Damon closed his eyes and smiled grimly. "All nekkid and sudsy?" he called back at her. He could hear her moving in the water. Vaguely, he wondered if they even had anything resembling bubble bath around here. Probably not. Too bad. Nothing sexier than a woman covered in suds. Unless, of course, she was a blond.

Slowly, he stood up. If a girl said 'in here' to him, she got what she deserved, he supposed. Still, better to be a little bit respectful. He made his way over to the bathroom door, then turned around, leaning his back against the wall beside the entrance. "Have a nummy dinner of Bambi?" he asked her. "With a side of Thumper?"

"Oh yes," she replied, and it was as close as Bonnie ever came to a drawl. "Bubbles in all my nooks and crannies."

Bonnie might not have ever been elegant or svelte, but she could flirt. She'd had a lot of boyfriends when she'd been in high school. Never anyone very serious, but she'd figured out the whole sexy banter thing after awhile--mostly because Elena had taught her how to do it.

"Dinner was fine," she responded cautiously. A couple of pieces of small game. Bonnie had never had a very big appetite. "And how was yours? Another blond?"
