Ummm...I accidentally wrote fic. See, I thought I was going to be writing Sam/Jack first, because my brain's been all Sam/Jack lately, but then this Sam/Daniel story just showed up and Lillith (the muse) kept yelling until I wrote it. I am but Lillith's slave. Hope you enjoy.:) (It's SO fun to be writing Stargate again

Your words. Gods, woman, they are lyrical and beautiful and painful and always so, so true and gorgeous.

standing on a hot desert planet, a soft breeze ruffling her hair, freckles bright in the alien sunlight. And when she turns his way, her mouth curls into an affectionate smile, even as her eyes remain jaded far beyond her years. And he knows this is why he came back. These moments in the sun. When the simple warmth of human light fades all else into the distance.

So, so gorgeous. And perhaps he has remembered...

For one nitpick in a gorgeous sentence:
Less nights of leather and need and loneliness and anger.
I think "fewer" nights...but then I'm a traditionalist where that's concerned...and...Daniel might be

I just love these glimpses of Sam through your words because she's even MORE beautiful than I see her with your words shining around her.

I have 2 normal-Carter icons and, I think, 2 or 3 Dorkverse Carter icons. The most gorgeous one I have of Carter is also the "You've got to be KIDDING me" one, so...not so appropriate text-wise, though she looks HOT from "Upgrades" at the restaurant.

I am usually hesitant about Sam/Daniel fic, but this... I buy this - it sounds so much like post-ascended Daniel. Lovely visuals you've created here as well. :)

I know how you feel. For the longest time I was all Sam/Jack, and I loved the Sam/Daniel friendship, but never thought I'd see it as anything else. And then one day, it just caught fire in my head.:D Sam/Jack is definitely still my OTP (and my only choice for a long term canon pairing), but I really really enjoy S/D in fic.

Anyhow, very glad you were able to enjoy this one, anyway.:)
