Ummm...I accidentally wrote fic. See, I thought I was going to be writing Sam/Jack first, because my brain's been all Sam/Jack lately, but then this Sam/Daniel story just showed up and Lillith (the muse) kept yelling until I wrote it. Oh, this is lovely. And so awesome that you got it out of that music. (In my head, that track is doing angsty Firefly/Serenity kinds of things. Lots of isolation and stars and loneliness. Which... I think yours is kinda about, too. Hm.)

Indeed. There's definitely a sort of...sweeping bittersweet beauty to it. Which might mean I should have written HelenFic to it. LOL But this is what spoke to me.:) It probably would have been perfect way back when I was writing "Signal Fire".

Oh, thank you!! I'm just having so much fun being back in my beloved Stargate world. There's so much pretty here.:)

I love that you touch on Sam/Jack without making it the focus or resolving Sam's feelings for Jack before she enters a relationship with Daniel. Because they are all so enmeshed in each other's lives and hearts that you can't really separate it like that.

I agree completely, and I'm glad to know you see it that way, too. I've always said, that even though I have written many different Sam/? pairings, if you look closely enough every fic I've ever written is Sam/Jack on some level.*g* But really, SG-1 is so tangled up, that if they aren't ALL part of each other in some way, no matter the "pairing", it's not what I call true to character.

And I would like to give much more coherent and detailed feedback, but I'm pretty sure my brain is already asleep and is just waiting for my body to follow.LOL. Glad you slept, and your reply was just

Well, it's not often that a fic literally takes my breath away. I stopped breathing for a second and was sitting here with my mouth forming an O, and thinking of something eloquent to say... and then I realized, maybe this is when something is too beautiful for words.

Okay, wow. This comment simply made my day, possibly my week. It was a bit unnerving diving back into a fandom where I used to be reasonably confident and now wasn't sure I even know what I'm doing, so your encouragement is very much appreciated.:)
