Oh I liked this a lot. From the organic development of the relationship to her reaction to the events on Company of Thieves. I know a lot of people reacted badly to her crying, but I just though - well of course she cried, the day has SUCKED for her. And she wasn't weeping or throwing hysterics, just very silently cried.

But all in all, really liked it.

Me, too! It didn't bother me at all. It actually seemed very in character and believable and classy to me. But I did think it might have bothered her afterward, ya know? Even if I found it completely reasonable myself.

But all in all, really liked it.

Thanks!:)

Very, very lovely. The progression of their relationship, her breakdown and his reaction to it, written so well, so in character and wonderfully developed.

Well, that ruined me for the rest of the day. I'm having a hard time coming up with complete sentences now. But I should have expected that. Your fics always destroy me in the best possible way.

Congrats on being done, it's wonderful.

That was amazing. Your Jack was outstanding (I loved the line about not being good at everything...it was perfection), and the resolution (or lack thereof) that you wrote for "The Company of Thieves" was fabulous. I really like your take on their relationship, how they fit together and where they didn't...

Oh, thank you so much. Such lovely words.:)

and the bit about the SWAT or Daniel made me giggle.

Hee! I couldn't resist. Glad it made you giggle.:)

And your Sam...oh this is the Sam I love. Broken and awesome and so strong all at the same time, and you've got every part of her down. Well done!

Thank you!! Sounds like your Sam is a lot like my Sam.:)

...wasn't it the Odyssey?

Oh, crap. Yes, it probably was. I'm horrible at keeping the timeline on the ships. That'll teach me to post to a deadline instead of looking up every little detail like I usually do. I'll change that on the archived copy...*g*

Thanks for the lovely feed!

It's the one where Colonel Emerson was executed in front of Carter. Where they were all being held hostage on the ship.

This is great, Rowan. Excellent! I always wondered how things played out between them when he left, and this feels true. The *only* thing I didn't absolutely love was when Jack talked a *lot* there at the end. He had two whole paragraphs where he just talked and talked and said things like "how much I love you". That took me out of the reality of it a teensy tiny bit, only because it didn't feel quite as *Jack* as the rest of his dialogue. I don't think he would talk that much. :P

I can definitely see your point, and that's always a debatable aspect of his character. It's my belief that he is capable of this kind of speech when it really matters. That he surprises you sometimes, we just rarely get to see that side of him. (He's ( ... )
