((OOC: Takes place after this thread. This is also the only smut warning you're gonna get, people, not that this is really all that smutty.))

I dunno, Bonnie thinks, eying the Boggan sitting two tables down from her. Willy said she's really scary, but she looks nice to me. Gnawing her pencil like it's a huge bone and--Bonnie's thoughts stop ( Read more... )

Xandros looks around at those gathered. His gaze settling on Longshadow, "No one brings this type of humiliation to my friend without paying for it." He smirks, calming down slightly as his mind starts contemplating possible devious ways of turning things around on Freida.
He shifts his gaze to Bonnie. "Though Frieda isn't the only one at fault. Though it is mostly her fault." Smirking, half jokingly, Xandros suggests, "Anyone up for a game of Kick The Bunny?"

(after Longshadow's comment to him above)
"What? She can't take a joke? I thought that's the pookas' forte." Xandros pauses for a moment, "Anyway, that still leaves us with Freida to deal with. Now what is the best way to teach her a lesson?" Xandros looks at Longshadow and Vincent. "Sluagh are renowned frighteners, are they not?"

Longshadow nods once at Gudge and releases his hand. "I shall be but a moment. Xandros, might we speak in private?"

Xandros looks confused, "Uh, sure if you want. Lead the way."

He takes Xandros by the elbow, leading him into an adjacent hallway. "Is there a reason you are so hellbent on revenge? I can handle this."

Xandros looks at Longshadow, keeping his voice down, "Honestly.. Part of it is that you're my friend, and i don't like people hurting my friends. Part of it is cause I take the insults personally. The shouts of fag and such. I've heard them before, and I hate it." He takes a deep breath, looking at Longshadow he displays some uncanny self-insight. "L.. I like you, you know that. And honestly, i'm a bit jellous of the thought of you with someone else. But I'm gonna try to deal with it. I mean it's not like there was anything serious going on between us, was there?"

"Of course there was," he stammers, suddenly taking the Satyr's hand. "It is called friendship, and it important to me. I would not... I would not hurt you, Xandros. I had no idea you had serious interest in me."

"Well, I did. After the fire, i suppose I was a bit drained to make a move, and we were somewhat preoccupied. But in the auditorium, I sang for you, to you." He brushes a lock of hair out of Longshadow's eyes, just like he did that afternoon on stage.

He repeats his words, this time in prose, not song, "' I could swear by your expression, That the pain down in your soul, Was the same as the one down in mine. That's the pain, Cuts a straight line down through the heart; We called it love.'"

"I thought, I hoped you were paying attention to what I sang, because I meant it."

"I did hear you. I simply did not understand. Henri, my lover back home, has a saying: je les aime tous. It means, 'I love them all,' and he does--for exactly as long as he is making love to them." Longshadow bites his lip. "Forgive me, Xandros. I thought you were no different. I fear, perhaps, that I may be no different. Had I but known your feelings, I would have taken them into greater consideration."

Xandros looks down for a moment and then back up at Longshadow, "It's ok.. I mean you've made your choice. I suppose I should have made my intentions clearer."

"Xandros, listen to me. I had no idea there was a choice to be made. I thought you only wanted..." Longshadow pauses, carefully choosing his words. "I simply didn't know. Now I do. You have given me much to think about, things I will have to discuss with Gudgeon."

Gudge, who's been listening worriedly from just around the corner, pokes his head around it, a slightly strained look on his face. Seeing the two standing there, he ventures over. "Sorry," he says, nervously rubbing at the back of his neck. "I know I wasn't invited, but I couldn't help overhearing your conversation."

He looks back and forth between Longshadow and Xandros. "L., I know we've been working through what's been growing between us, but I've never envisioned you giving up the lifestyle you were raised under to be with me and me alone. That would just be fucking preposterous. All I ask for is your consideration and for you to be careful, with whatever partners you choose."

Xandros turns to look at Gudge then back at Longshadow nodding in agreement with the knocker.

Longshadow presses his lips together so hard that their blackness fades to a dull grey. "I insist that the situation remain open for discussion, and that you both be very direct with me from now on. From what Xandros has said, I can be rather oblivious."

"Yeah, I think I can do that. But this still leaves the issue of what to do with Frieda." Xandros glances back over toward Vincent and Bonnie.
