Ed would have to get a new coat after this. Is was pretty beat up, along with the staff he had been using, and he was actually surprised it had lasted this long to begin with.
He was practically bouncing in anticipation for this fight. Despite having close calls in most some of his previous fights, he was feeling pretty cocky about this one. He waited impatiently for his opponent.
Honestly, Ironhide had expected to be facing Cliffjumper. It made the most sense, after all. They were both warriors, both soldiers. But instead, he was being placed against a small, blonde, human boy.
Granted, the boy had made his way to the final round, but still. It was... odd, to say the least.
He stepped forward. The huge weapons master folded his arms, staring down his opponent. His eyes tracked automatically to the staff. He was unarmed, but it had served him well so far.
[He's not sure if it's cheating or what, but he is rather unimpressed that, considering your age, you've managed to lose and arm AND a leg Edward. Soviet Russia is almost dissapoint.]
I almost hope I fight you.
[He's pulling off his casual wear to put on a few more layers to bulk up his defenses a little, pulling his rocket top over his now padded torso]
[Kuja's found a good spot in the stands, a very sparkly Feebas in his lap and a Flygon perched next to him; he's perfectly content ... if keeping an eye out for certain people.]
[Ys has a bag of popcorn and a spot in the back of the stands. He's not even sure who's in the tournament, but it's fun to watch. He can see well enough from here, though it makes his Sneasel uneasy. Who knew Freya disliked heights?]
After Round 1gochuugokuOctober 10 2011, 03:02:21 UTC
[China had lost the first round and that had dealt quite a blow to his pride. Even so, he wanted to be there to support his friends that were still in the tournament. Also, he wanted to see how far his opponent, Xanxus, would make it.]
[Heather squeezes between the buffet table and a particularly rotund reporter covering the post-Tournament celebrations, and continues to weave her way through the crowd. Looking for familiar faces, although in this case, a few in particular. Like the guy who knocked her out of the competition. SHE WANTS TIPS ON HOW NOT TO LOSE NEXT TIME.]
[Feel free to say hi. ... Or make fun of her for getting literally dropped off the edge of the platform by her opponent in the second round. WHATEVER WORKS.]
[She draws up next to him, grinning and ducking her head under the pseudo-noogie.]
Hey! Congratulations!
[Her pride still stings a little, but it faded a lot once Ironhide had gone on to completely waste the rest of the competition. No one could make fun of her for losing now! ... Well no, they could. Just not as badly.]

[A... really... crowded party. Sheesh.]

[He looks up in time to see her approach, and absently drags his knuckles over the top of her head. Giant robot noogie.]
