Fuck yeah, time for round three. After winning two matches in a row, Xanxus was feeling pretty confident (not that he wasn't before, but now he was more confident than ever) about winning this one as well. While waiting for his opponent to show up, Xanxus decided to take the time to put some extra ammo into his... very unique handguns.
It was actually amazing she'd made it this far, Xion thought as she stretched before going out. But the last fight... Hoo boy, was it a tough one. Russia had landed several good hits on her body, and though she was one to be very good at hiding her inner pain, she knew it those blows were going to take their toll on her.
Gotta see if she could end this fast.
Once done, Xion steadily walked out into the arena and locked onto her next opponent. Ah, great. Another big guy. And were those... guns? Certainly not Xigbar material, but a few of what this guy could do with those crept into her head.
A new day, a new match. Athrun stood on one end of the ring, stretching his arm muscles, and looking a bit stern. He had neither expected nor wanted to fight a child. However, with the way things had panned out, it seemed that he had little choice.
After he was done stretching, he assumed his fighting stance. "I won't go easy."
Ken's goal was not victory, and it never really had been. Of course, winning would be nice, but if it was just by luck, or just by someone easing up on him because of his age and size, it wasn't much of a victory. And he hated that. He'd rather lose fairly than win because of pity.
He's more serious, now. He's not smiling. Because he's made it through two matches and he's not willing to compromise with himself on this one. He's holding his broom tightly, and his stance is set.
Athrun assumed his fighting stance, and waited for Ken to make the first move. Unlike Shirou, however, Athrun did this not out of concern over fighting a child, but rather because he preferred to react to the opponent.
He nods, letting a moment pass, before asking an obvious question. "You don't have a weapon?"
He knows this doesn't make him any weaker--Akihiko could beat the tar out of him if he was given the chance. But it would have to be a change in strategy from his first two opponents.
"You must be really good, if you've gotten this far fighting with your hands." Ken's actually pretty impressed. Both his previous opponents were using weapons, and a golf club to any part of your body could hurt. He still does't move, though.
What was with his opponents being kids? Not that he had anything against them, especially since he had joined the military when he was twelve, but this seemed to be getting a little ridiculous. The staff he had been using looked beat up compared to the first match, though Ed would be using it until it broke on him. It wouldn't be too hard to get himself another.
He rubbed his right shoulder and left knee before assuming his stance.
[Makoto has probably seen it by now, but Ed's wearing his coat and gloves to conceal his automail, just in case. The sneaky bastard.]
When Makoto had landed in a Pokémon world, she hadn't exactly expected to be entered into a fighting tournament. But there's no backing out now, and honestly, it'd been fun. Albeit not very feminine, but she was in it now, no use not giving it her all.
And that was precisely why she went on the offensive first. Keeping one eye on the staff, she sprinted forward and launched herself for a flying kick to the side of his neck. If he blocked it, she had a few other options at her disposal.

Um. "Good luck to us both."

Athrun said nothing else. He maintained his stance and continued to wait.
