HEATHER PROTESTS THE PG RATING. Birthday-shopping should involve profanity and explosions! foolishwren June 13 2011, 23:36:05 UTC
When Aoko came down the stairs, Heather had been facing the lobby windows, thumbs in the belt-loops of her shorts and eyes lidded against the glare of the sunshine. Hot out today. WAY hot. It was the time of year for tank-tops, sandals, and ice cream. Right now she had-- ... well, okay, only two of the three-- but hey, today was a day out. She could always bully the other two into getting the latter with her once they were done.

She had arrived in Johto almost exactly a year before-- and, well, back then, she hadn't much been able to appreciate the summertime in the wake of having been yanked into a different world. This year, however... it was gonna be different. No-- it already was different. A good kind of different.

At the sound of Aoko's voice, she turned around with a half-grin.

"I'm ready. Better get the show on the road if we wanna get things done without running into the birthday boy somewhere along the line and having to explain ourselves to him. ... But for the record, if we do, we should totally just stare at him ( ... )

how are we even supposed to DISCUSS THINGS in PG? darkenedgales June 14 2011, 00:17:18 UTC
'Hot' was the only fitting word to describe the past few days and at this point, Crow had been forced to ditch his trademark vest in an attempt to not make the situation worse by layering clothes, but truth to be told? It didn't help much. But as much as doing anything in such heat wasn't the duelist's idea of a perfect afternoon, he was actually rather optimistic about the whole birthday shopping thing. After all, he had never actually participated in something like that, much less a birthday party itself, so it was only natural he was thrilled for it ( ... )

IDEK you guys. This stuff involves a looooot of shit ahokonakamori June 14 2011, 00:25:24 UTC
Aoko didn't really mind the weather. She was honestly too happy to notice it. But she made sure to wear a light skirt and tank top, just to make sure she wouldn't get too hot. She even tied her long, dark hair in a pony tail.

At Heather's remark, Aoko can't help but laugh.

"I'm sure then he'll definitely say no, Heather. It's a brilliant idea." She headed toward the door.

"Let's go, then! And if it's all right with you guys, we can get ice cream afterward. My treat!" All said with a bright smile.

Aw, Crow. Come. Come engage in normal teen/young-adult behavior. ... With two girls. This day will either be a blast, or torture.

As for those three days... well, Heather was a little curious too, but right now, there were more important things to be doing. LIKE ~*~SHOPPING~*~

Folding her arms behind her head, she beamed at the two of them.

"I'm full of good ideas. And so are you, 'cause that's the best idea I've heard all day."

She patted her pocket to make sure her wallet was still there-- the nice thing about lingering in cities longer than a few days was NOT having to carry all of her stuff around with her constantly-- and then made for the door, tugging it open and stepping back.

"Ladies first!"

... Aaand a playful grin shot in Crow's direction to show she didn't mean anything by it.
