Besides, one never needed an excuse to spend time with good friends!
Despite how down he was still feeling about everything that had happened, Kaito was doing a good job of now showing it. Perhaps it was the warm weather, or the prospect of satisfying his sweet tooth, but as he and Crow stood in line at the cafe he balanced playfully on the balls of his feet, hands stuffed into the pockets of his shorts.
"You ask for a sample first," he pointed out, "Or try to guess the flaors based on color. That's one's probably..." A beat as he tried to think of an appropriate flavor for 'Flaming Rapidash,' "Sour strawberry and vanilla."

"Maybe so!" The duelist shrugged with a smile on his face. It was rather obvious he was becoming more and more convinced this could be an enjoyable afternoon with every minute. "As long as it ain't melon or tea, I can have anything." He wasn't a particularly picky eater, much less a specialist, and with good company, anything tasted great anyway.

The pair of teenage girls in front of them in line finally finished their sale and slipped to the side giggling, clearing the cashier for them to make their order.
"Wonder which one of these flavors is chocolate," Kaito mused out loud as he stepped forward, "The whole 'name everything after Pokemon' thing gets kind of old for a while."

"As for chocolate, my vote would go to..." he looked around, his eyebrow rising as he noticed one that would fit that. "'Icy Piloswine'?" He shook his head with resignation. Whoever had come up with those names must have had an odd definition of 'creativity'. Speaking of which...
"But it ain't that surprising, y'know. I mean, back home it's similar. We've got things like Blue-Eyes Mountain or Red Demon's Noodles..." Neither of which brought back any good memories.
