Who: Anybody and everybody! Where: Cherrygrove, Violet, Azalea, Goldenrod, Ecruteak, and Violet When: Sunday, April 24th Rating: PG! PG-13 at the most, please! Summary: The Easter Festival!
[The sun has already set and it is steadily growing darker. Kyo has heard there would be fireworks here, and he knows it isn't something Tohru would want to miss. After the activities, all of his Pokémon are in their respective balls and the Togepi egg from morning tucked away in his pack. They would probably be startled by the fireworks, and they still weren't under his complete control. Unless Tohru insisted that they should be out to see the show, they would remain there.
Only Cat is out, which isn't unusual at all, and he meows and tugs on the hem of Kyo's pants insistently. Kyo turns back to Tohru, holding out his hand.]
Come on. We need to climb that hill before it gets too dark.
[The cheerful brunette isn't at all far behind Kyo, and of her Pokemon it's Bayleef that's currently out, because it's easier to let them out once they found a spot. Tohru thought to bring a blanket along when she heard there would be fireworks. She'd also packed some snacks for them in case anyone gets hungry. It feels strange at first, not having any of the others around, but nice still! It'll be like watching the stars on the roof almost!
She's keeping pace, looking up at Kyo's hand with an intelligent blink, then a smile! She reaches out and puts her free hand in his to follow.] Un!
[He leads her up the small incline, still holding onto her hand. Cat's at his side for the majority of the time until he bounds ahead, scouting out a spot. He stops and waits at a place with plush grass and no trees to obscure the view. As they appear over the ridge, he meows. Kyo plops down on the ground as soon as he gets there, sighing. Today's been a long day. He takes off his pack and sets it aside, the Togepi egg nestled within it.]
We were going to watch the fireworks at the villa, right? But we never got the chance. [No, the day before they left they had arrived in Route. At least now they could make up for it, but they wouldn't be with Momiji, Yuki, and the rest of them.]
[Tohru doesn't call attention to the fact that his hand is so warm in hers, or that she's so happy to be able to watch the fireworks with him that she almost forgot that they were supposed to watch them with the others, at least not yet. She gets settled next to him once he has, instead, tucking her skirt underneath her as Chika-chan takes the spot on her free side.]
That's right! Everything was so hectic since I got here that I forgot... [She smiles softly in that way of hers that would probably look sad on anyone else, but just looks content somehow on her.]
At least Kisa-san and Ritchan-san will be able to see fireworks too, and if we get back home we can just watch them with everyone then. Right...?
[He glances up at the now dark sky. Before she got here, he kept his mind solely on training. He didn't want to think about Tohru not being here with him. So he had lost himself in his training, trying to make sense of this place and go through the gyms to become a Pokémon Master -- or something of the sort.]
Yeah.
[He looks back to Tohru.]
You think we'll ever go back?
[He didn't particularly want to. He had everything he needed here... except for Kazuma, but maybe someday, he would come. And if they did go back, would they go back together?]
[A simple agreement for that. It really is. Especially with all the EGGS lately.]
[She locks her hands around in front of her knees, smiling at Kyo and then looking up at the sky too. How soon before they started, she wondered?]
I'm sure we will eventually!
[Time stopped back home, and there certainly was proof, with Kisa and Ritsu being here from different times and all. Was it wrong to enjoy the time here in Johto knowing the others weren't there? Would they even remember Johto when they went back? It might not be with everyone, but still, the time here is precious and the memories are good. She doesn't WANT to lose them if she returns home.
Not to mention that so long as they didn't return...
Small look in Kyo's direction.]
You like it here, don't you, Kyo-kun? Do you miss the others?
[She smiles, kind of knowingly. It's not because she's thinking that it's just away from his problems and the stress, it's more in the way he seems here. Happier. If Kazuma were there it would no doubt be better, but it's more peaceful--
( ... )
Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss everyone, but at least they don't have to miss us I suppose, and I'm not here alone so it's really not so bad. [This is partly her trying to remain brave, though she's being sincere and shows as such with a smile.] Maybe Shishou will show up soon.
[It's the first time they've been apart from the others for so long. It's unusual to go for hours, let alone days without at least Shigure poking in, and no Yuki, or Momiji, Hatsuharu either. All the alone time went unnoticed at first, but now that he's called attention to it it' at the front of her thoughts.
Is he really enjoying himself, not just being kind because she'd be hopeless on her own? Ha ha, always causing trouble for the Sohma's, that's Tohru!
Still, he is the one that told her it's okay to be a little selfish, so is it okay if she thinks that she's happy with just the two of them like this, mom?]
[The first one flares and lights up the night sky, finally, not long after Kyo's observation. In that colorful burst of light their expressions are made clear. Tohru looks excited, as to be expected.]

[Likewise, he pulls up his legs to his chest and wraps his arms around his knees, hunching over slightly.]
And I don't. Shishou, yeah, but all the rest? I could honestly care less. I'm glad they aren't here.
[He stares at his knees for a few moments, realizing she probably thinks differently.]
I bet you miss your friends though, right.

[He crosses his legs, reclining back slightly. A noise sounds off in the distance, and he looks up at the starry sky.]
Hey. They're starting.
