Hello Route, hope you're all doing well - this is Yun (1) here, dropping by to remind you all of Cyndi (Romano mun)'s Easter Festival! Easter is a fun holiday for anyone and everyone, whether you celebrate the traditional way, or whether you're one of those candy-in-plastic-containers, or both... and we'd like to celebrate such a holiday this year by bringing it to Johto!
We'd like to hold the festival in the logs comm over the actual Easter Break, but I'm thinking there will be people who won't be able to participate, as they may be off to celebrate the holiday with family and friends. Plus, this ended up being a little last minute. Thus, the log will be put up on FRIDAY, but please - feel free to keep up the tagging for a few days~
Our main goal here is to celebrate this holiday and for everyone to have fun. But here's the catch: to make it go from awesome to awesome, we need your help --!
The Easter festival will be held in CHERRYGROVE, VIOLET, AZALEA, GOLDENROD, ECRUTEAK, and OLIVINE.
Plastic Egg Hunt - Donations?

First of all, why is it specified as a plastic egg hunt? You'll soon find out! And now, this is pretty self-explanatory, but in case some people are not familiar with this tradition, here is how things will go:
On the morning Easter Sunday, April 24th, there will be plastic eggs of all colors of the rainbow hidden around the city containing chocolate, candies, and small toys. As for who arranged this festive treat, we'll default that to the lovely Nurse Joy and her Chansey team unless we have people volunteering from each city, but I'm sure it was a lot of work and Nurse Joy needed some trainer help, and all praise that blessed woman if she prepared all the treats herself!
Please see the PLASTIC EGG HUNT DONATIONS thread for deets on what I am implying there ( tl;dr: if your trainer's feeling festive and wanted to donate homemade chocolate or handmade crafts to fill the eggs with, drop off a word there with the below listed information so that egg hunters could have an idea of what the heck they're finding! :D

This event is open to any and all inhabitants of Johto, no matter what age or size or species, so your little tyke trainer child can run around happily finding eggs, and in the meanwhile, even your big, burly manly man can get dragged into it by his girlfriend or even his Pokémon! ( For example, Miles' Plusle Remus is totally going to be grabbing his trainer to get some chocolate regardless of what the lawyerbrat says. )
So come all, have fun! There will be baskets waiting for anyone wanting to participate at each city's Pokémon Center!
POKÉMON Egg Hunt - Help Wanted!

Not too interested in sweet little goodie-filled plastic eggs? Are you and your Pokémon trainer too manly for plastic eggs? Well, fear not, manly trainer, for this event might just be for you!although personally, I think plastic eggs are manlier
On Sunday, at the National Park just past Goldenrod ( well, it's a day and a half walk ), with the help of Nurse Joy and the National Park staff hello NPCs, Johto will be hosting a Pokémon Egg Hunt. Now, it's not just an egg hunt, and can you guess why?
If you're the good sir in the middle of the crowd who blurted, "Are we going to be hunting for Pokémon Eggs?" - your'e correct. It may have been blatantly obvious, but you still get ten picarats +1 brownie points for guessing the right answer.
Now, here's where trainers can get involved in the preparation for this event - egg donations. If you're a trainer whose Pokémon have an intense mating/breeding habit ( ... yeah ) and are willing to donate one, two, even three or more eggs to this event, please leave us a comment in the EGG DONATION thread located below with the following information:

After we have collected all the egg donations - we'd like, perhaps, twenty-ish? - we will put up another post in the ooc comm for egg claiming late Wednesday or Thursday, and this event MAY BE POSTPONED and posted as a separate log.
And again: please remember that this event only takes place at the National Park!
Food, Drinks, and General Feasting - Cooks? Chefs? Volunteers?

What festival could even be called a festival without food and beverages? As per always with a Johto-wide event, there will be a feast held at the center of every city, and everyone is welcome!
Now the NPC chefs of each city would probably be very, very generous to help us out, but it's a lot of fun when trainers help out and participate, too - the food prepared by France, Watanuki, Sebastian and others during the Christmas and Valentine feasts were delicious, were they not? If you love cooking, this is your place to volunteer your skills again!
Please comment to the FEASTS thread with the following information:

We'd like to get at least one volunteer per city, so please - it doesn't matter if you can cook wonderfully and professionally or not! If you want to help, even if the result is Fuuka's cooking a monstrous glob that was supposed to be soup, please, do help!
Egg Painting, Dancing

Now here is where Yun must raise her hands and say she's not familiar with the traditional side of Easter celebration. For that, I'll have to hand the baton to Cyndi, but here are some things the two of us have come up with so far, and a little more.
Egg Painting: A quiet cluster of tables and benches will be reserved at each city for this event, in which each person can design their own Easter egg! This is also a nice chance for people to sit down, do something creative and peaceful ( hey, art is soothing! ) and chat idly instead of competing for eggs and food. To keep up tradition, real boiled eggs will be provided, but you also have the choice of using fake egg shaped models in case you want to keep yours and not have it rot in your bag... because that's kind of gross. If you're not interested in egg hunting, eating, or simply looking for a quiet activity or something to do while resting, this is the place for you!
Dancing: We can't forget the dancing. Definitely not the dancing. In the middle of the tables set up for feasting and painting, a dance floor will be set up for you to grab your significant other, your friend, your sibling, your parent or child's or even a complete stranger's hands and jump in, moving to the music and having fun! There might be upbeat, festive songs or slower songs to simply sway to, but it's open for all, and all are definitely encouraged to join in on the celebration.
Fireworks!

To end this weekend filled with celebrations, on Sunday night from 9PM to 12AM, fireworks of all shapes and colors and size will be set off above the cities of Johto! There might even be Pokémon shaped ones mixed into the display, as well, and it'll definitely be a sight to behold!
Kids, it's okay to break curfew this time, so stay up just a liiiiiittle later today and enjoy the show. Guardians? Cut them some slack, you're enjoying it too, aren't you? Happy Easter, to all of Johto!
With all that said and done, I, Yun (1), and dear Cyndi would once again like to invite you all to the Easter Festival at Johto! I'd like to bow my head and apologize for the short notice and delay, but I'm sure this will be a lot of fun, and I hope you think so, too!
