Is anyone getting the feeling that they're living in a giant pressure cooker these days? Oh my, the heat and the humidity. It's brutal. Even the mascot of Quebec's winter carnival, the Bonhomme Carnaval, had a heat stroke two days ago during an event. Poor Bonhomme. Life is hard for mascots.

I'm sorry for you all getting such extreme heat up north. I know you guys aren't really equipped to handle it (no A/C in some places, etc). Stay cool!

We don't have air conditioning at home since there is always one of two days of really high temperatures and the fans do the job nicely, but the humidity is pretty awful and it's been at least three days that the house is a sauna. Yuck.

Not me, we're wet and rainy and stormy, and we already have way too much rain, thankyouverymuch. Tornadoes, major flooding that's wiped out huge sections of the TransCanada Highway, we've seen all that. Blah.

But anwyay.

Sorry about the crispy jam. Keep it going.... you'll reach perfection soon and can make jam for all your friends for Christmas! ;)

Oh dear, I saw a report about the tornadoes and the rain. And people doing water skiing...in a field. This is awful!

I tried out one of the body scrub recipes this morning. I haven't actually used it yet, but I'm rather tickled by the fact that all the ingredients are edible (strawberries, sugar, honey). When I use it in the shower, I'm tempted to just try ingesting some.

Oh it does sound yummy! Sugar and honey are really soothing to the skin. :)
