Lightning in the Daytime: It is an interesting show the villian (Mizu or Aran depending on waht version you buy)is sleazy, the heroine (Hanafusa)is more active than regular Takarazuka heroines and Yamato Yuga has a realtively small interesting role. The ending is a little bit weird but imaginative and made me want to see a Hatsuke Midori villian. The revue part is fun and to give stage time to the other otokoyaku Yamato Yuga dances in drag in some parts. My favorite in that one has to be the one in Indochina

Excellent, they both sound great. I'll probably end up getting the Mizu version of Lightning in the Daytime because, well, Mizu. :D Nothing cut out of either of them, is there (or Romeo and Juliet 99, either)?

I will be very interested in reading your answers. Zorroand Pahntom are the only ones with cuts and of those Zorro is the worst since they cut songs during the play. In Phantom you are missing a Hahanfusa solo and and an Aran song at the end.
Mizu is a good sleazy villian I mean come on the first time I saw her befor even uttering a line I said you are the villian and was correct
I strongly recommend it you get to see diferent dance styles(tango, jazz, etc), pair and group dancing, a bit of comedy (an sketch of the various performes robbing each other)and some interviews with former siennes such as Asaji Saki.
This is the dvd I used to get my mom into Takarazuka and now she bugs me to play more dvd so she can see the dancing and the costumes :)
