Church and the Sex Pistols [Don't Mix]

Jan 30, 2011 11:28

I dyed my hair pitch Leather black again yesterday, with Feria. I really hope I don't go bald....

Anyway, I went to church this morning. I nearly had cardiac arrest when my mom shook me away like the entire house was on fire, saying all urgently, "Hurry UP, you're late for church!" Unlike normal families, we wake each other in the morning by ( Read more... )

I think you look great in black hair! What's your natural hair color?

Haha, the Sex Pistols CD sell really cheap here too, Jac got it around the same price as you did and I have to agree with you on punk music. There's something so direct and in-your-face about it. My favourite track from them has to be God Save The Queen as well. Haha, I don't listen to too much punk music, but yeah that's my favourite from them. And you brought up a really good point about it being pop music being apathetic. I guess that's one of the reason I don't listen to pop music so much. It just doesn't have as much meaning for me and doesn't evoke as much music. It just feel so mass produced and empty.

All the best with your poems :)

Thanks! My natural color is actually a hideous auburn, lol. I was once a semi-redhead. Can you picture that?

I guess the CD's so cheap because the Pistols were popular so long ago...that's pretty depressing. I wish there could be more groups like them today, but at the same time I don't, because I want them to always stand out as the best punk rock music group from the UK!

Yes, pop music has tortured me for so long, especially because more and more people are getting into it. You're right. Pop lyrics are completely bland...totally emotionless with no feeling or inspiration, just a lot of repetition, the same phrases over and over again. I seriously can't believe less than 20 years ago the world was so into grunge, and now it's music like this.

And thanks for the support! :D

I can't imagine you in any other colours other than black actually! You do suit it very well.

Yeah, I think it's because they were popular a long time ago and now they're just...not as known as the pop stars nowadays. I'm thankful still for being who acknowledge musicians of the past. You hit the jackpot with what you mentioned about pop music. It's precisely why I don't listen to Pop Music or I get so annoyed at it.

Tell me how it goes alright :)

Thanks. Everybody was freaking out when I first dyed it black and said it would look like a Halloween wig...but I've tried blond, red, everything else, so black really is the only color for me, haha.

Sure, I will :)

Oh wow, eight dollars for a CD - that's awesome! God Save The Queen is awesome and so is Sid ♥

I love your Sid Vicious icon! It's so cool :) I know, it's definitely one of their best songs - I just love the lyrics.

Thanks for the advice :D I'll make sure to look for some special shampoo. Yeah, cause my hair is so short I rarely have to dry it, which is good :3

Haha...yeah. Lots of acoustic guitar playing...even though my parents know I don't like contemporary service. -.-' Oh well.

It's OK, I get you! It's just like my loathing of pop...sometimes you just don't like certain kinds of music just because. I know you like Vienna Teng, right? She's really pretty, a lot different than my artists...I can see what you mean, compared to her my favorites don't have much melody ;)

I got really obsessed about Sid & Nancy a few months ago. I like a few Sex Pistols songs, but eh... the sound is so "tin can".
