Absolutely, I really shouldn't grumble, should I? And at least he wasn't stuck in some isolated spot on Bodmin with no mobile signal, as quite often seems to happen down there. And I haven't got to drive to Cornwall to fetch him. All in all it just shows this was definitely the right time to get rid of the beast! It's just been a busy work day too so trying to keep track of what was happening with Rob at the same time was one more little thing! I've just popped a sausage casserole in the oven for when they get home and sat down so I expect I'll feel a bit more cheerful when I've had a cuppa and put my feet up for five minutes. I shall think positive - the certificate will arrive, everything will fall into place and all will be well. Repeat after me, all will be well, all will be well. There, you see, I've convinced myself! *LOL*
Okay, the Certificate not arriving (and what is it with your post? *g*) is a pain, but the timing on the gasket? I'd say you're lucky. *g* And I, at least, can't think "gasket" without thinking about Bodie in "Weekend in the Country", so I think you shoudl treat yourself to an episode tonight. Clearly, it is fate. *g*
I know, I know. We shall probably lose the trade in value of the car but it could be much much worse! And what is it with our post? I wish I knew. There seem to be strikes and go slows and messing around generally, part of a general sense of decline in the quality of postal services offered which used to be reasonably good. We do live out in the country so things often tend to take a day or two longer to arrive but there seems to be a more deep seated malaise about the service than just that. And three friends on LJ alone in different parts of the UK are also reporting problems with things being delayed or lost or interfered with so it isn't just here. And sorry, I really didn't mean to sound so negative, I will try to be more positive, I promise. And "weekend in the country" is a genius idea - thank you!

I don't suppose for one moment she was talking about cars, though :-)
