So, the consensus among my in-person friends is that I am indeed completely crazy and need to temper my NaNo goals, either by dropping one of the projects, or revising my goal 50,000 words total rather than in each project

That is an absolutely sensible line of reasoning, and you're right-- it will land you ahead, whether or not you make your goal. And even if you only get close, you'll have done more than most have done during Nano, which is yet another win. And also: Really wanna read both stories. So, yes, trusting you not to overdo it, here, m'dear. Let me know how you're doing...

I think you should do as many words as you want to! And just as soon as I have enough brain to concentrate (I'm very cotton-woolish today) I'll get right back on to gleefully reading.
